Is anyone else planning on running this event in July? Just wondering what the course is like and if it is a pb kinda course

I did it in 2012 and am considering doing it this year. I also used to live in Oldbury so know the route well.

It's a cracking event and while it certainly has PB potential it's not what you'd class as a PB course. It's slightly long for starters! Coseley tunnel will slow you down as it's quite weird running through it and towards the end the bridges frequently break your rhythm.

But it's well worth doing, it's one of my favourite events, finishes by a pub and has a great atmosphere.

Is the tunnel above head height or is it a case of running bent over?

You don't need to bend over, the issue is that it's 1/4 mile long and unlit!

Google images will give you an idea of what it's like.

There are a few. I've done the Birmingham half a few times but looking to trail runs more now. This one is along canals mainly but also has multi terrain

If your PB was at Birmingham this course is comparable speed wise as it doesn't have the killer hill!
