i'd still advise him if i knew how to. i know you can use too large a size HD in docking stations and use them that way.

dell have crappy HDs i noticed, mine broke easily.

Yes you can fit that hard drive, but try a ssd solid state hard drive 500gig samsung pro evo series you can get them in kit form.

Ssd drive a USB to sata cable and transfer software the boot times when changed are fantastic.

Try scan co UK

Have a look on you tube for videos

I would agree with single bloke, the Samsung ssd would be an excellent replacement. also last time I purchased one it came with a sata to USB cable and cloning software, so I was able to completely clone the laptop and replace the drive in about 1 hour. Look for the starter kit unless you already have connection and cloning software.

Change for ssd (solid state drive) small but fast and unlikely to fail. Use it for os and programmes. Save all data to external hard drive so you don't lose anything.

You're fine - this is the lounge. The place for anything goes - subject to decency limitations - and pc help crops up a fair bit. If you'd been female many knights would have charged in to offer their unlimited support and cock.

Titz Towers, North Notts

Probably not much use, but don't use n, m and symbol shift if you play Daley Thompson's Decathlon on the Spectrum, it messes up the buttons. That's my advice.
