'Nokia' and 'upgrade' are two words that don't go together in my book. I thought you had taste Cornwall

I used to use nokias, but as they tried to develop them more and more I found they crashed/froze frequently.

Much prefer the reliability of two cans and a piece of string nowadays

I'm greedy, I have two handsets... one is an empty tin of peas (green giant) and the other one is an empty tin of cat food (whiskers). Both are extremely reliable so long as you don't try and pair them up with a guitar string

The Nokia N97 was an absolute disaster, it barely worked and was plagued with problems until they quietly withdrew it.

Because of that Noki decided to release the N8 ............ with the same operating system

Why do so many otherwise sensible folks keep upgrading their phone/s?

Hardly a week goes by without I get an email from someone saying 'I upgraded my phone and lost all my numbers - please call/ text me'.

N97 here and have never had any problems with it.

I can get online, play music, download and use the apps for it, play games on it, send and receive texts and I can even use it to make phone calls All with no problems at all, so it isn't as bad as some make it out to be.

a sample size of 1 isnt statistically significant.

I work part time for one of the mobile networks, we had so many returns of the N97 we had to hire extra staff to cope.

OK how about 2?

Workmate has one too and had no problems either...... I could go on and name quite a few others who have them too and had no problems, but I won't....

We will agree to disagree
