So I signed in to my account and saw that I've won £5.60 ....or to put it another way, my syndicate only lost £18.40

Ah well, at least nobody else won it, so there's still a chance we'll pocket the £68M next week.

That message always gets me - it normally pops up on blackberry about 7.30 the morning after...

Get all giddy and excited to find it's £10.00 or an equally piddly amount from a Euromillions draw.

Logic makes me think if i'd won millions, i wouldnt receive a standard email however the anticipation, followed by the anti-climax is most diappointing!

But hey ho, least i get the cost of the ticket back

'Getting all giddy and excited and then having a disappointing anticlimax'

Isn't that what it says, in the dictionary, next to 'Swinging'?

For a smart woman that email gets me every time.

The email does come in early, usually when I'm on the train to work. During my 25 minute journey I've set up my kids for life, paid off my friends mortgages, resigned my job, hired a personal trainer, bought my dream house in Dulwich Village, my fantasy never differs.

Last week the email arrived, got into work giddy with excitement, inpatient for my pc to load. When I logged into the lottery I'd won the princely sum of £2.50 on the new plus five draw!

I still believe one day it will be me!
