Do you think swinging is becomming more acceptable in todays society? i.e mainstream society, with programmes like "This Morning" and Benidorm touching on the subject? Or is it still a sorta taboo subject that generaly is frowned upon? |

not something I'm gonna bring up in the playground when talking to other mums whilst picking my kids up from school!!  
we have told no-one of this. I know for sure that my oldest friend would massively disapprove. |

I think the treatment the politician got recently from the tabloid papers shows that attitudes haven't changed all that much... even though they sell adverts for sex phone lines in the back of the very same newspapers. |

Think its still a taboo subject.
We are not yet ready as a 'society' (i blame the church lol) to accept this aspect of peoples lives.
We have met some really wonderfull people through this activity, solid good people with terrific value's.

Most people are very hypocritical about it - they are happy to go out and have a d*unken one night stand to get their fill. In many ways swinging is a lot safer/more refined/grown up way of doing getting the same thing. |

My feelings exactly.
My mates never minded going out and getting bladdered and having a d*unkan grope at the end of the night but frowned on me for going to chams etc...all sober , clean and safe. |

Swinging is right up there with masturbating in terms of 'everybody either knows about it or does it but you just dont talk about it'.
Swinging is certainly a million miles away from the old car keys in a vase and take your pick days of yore though, and there are many many people who have had threesomes etc but would never identify with mainstream swinging. |

When I've discussed it before with so called friends they have actually looked down on me. I tell no one now. It's more acceptable being a man dressed as a woman than a swinger these days. |

This reminds me of something. My friends know I meet men off the internet. As I always meet them socially they assume I'm just "dating". They would be horrified if they thought I actually had sex - let alone the way I play - lol... I'd be banned from a few homes I tell you.
Any how, a friend of mine said she thought it was weird and dangerous that I met men off the internet, and "not right". Then she went on to tell me about her weekend.
She'd gone to a birthday meal for a collegue at work being held in a restaurant. She didn't know anyone there apart from her colleague and his wife. There was another single guy there that she got talking to, and when the meal finished and people left, the night was still young and he invited her back to his place for "coffee".
She said goodbye to everyone, told this bloke to follow her so she could park her car on her dad's road who lived nearby and got in this guys car and went back to his house in west London.
Within four hours of saying "hi" she was shagging this bloke in his house. I've NEVER met and shagged anyone within hours of meeting in my life! When I pointed this out to her she became defensive and said, meeting people of the internet was a bit seedy and desperate.
Meeting someone in a restaurant, getting in their car, and fucking them within four hours is oh so classy though.
There are times when it's best to not say a word and keep your own counsel...this was one of them!  |
