We've all seen the comments I'm sure. "I can see why you have only 3 veri's" or "you haven't met anyone for 6 months, maybe it's time you left the site and stopped wasting everyone's time". Conversely "they've met so many people its disgusting" or even "all your veri's are from socials, you don't meet for sex".
Do you think this is ok? Should we just have a tick that says "verified" end of, without having to have ebay style feedback to be judged over? |

People attack people on here, it's a bear pit, if not their veris then it would be something else. I find veris an important part of my selection process so I am all for them. |

Has anyone ever left a bad very? 'Package arrived too early, poorly wrapped and not what I thought I'd ordered.'
Can't say I've ever seen one. Obviously people could hide it which, I suppose in itself, is another question.
Should we be allowed to choose what ones we show or should it be genital warts 'n' all?

I think you and I and very many others have been around on this strange little planet fabalicious to know that the oddest things get attacked in the forums.
And, no it's not right. Differing opinions, even passionately differing opinions are absolutely part of the rich tapestry of life. Personally directed bitching and sniping, be it based on veris, pictures, personal preference or any of the other daft bloody things people hook into to target individuals isn't really on. |

I have yet to be 'attacked' as such for mine. But I have seen it happen numerous times. For months I didn't display any at all or the summary so just had the green tick on my profile. It didn't make the blindest bit of difference to the amount of interest or messages I got. When I did display some it made no discernible difference to me but did to some of those who had verified me. Make of that what you will. |

I agree that people will be attacked for anything so if it's not the veris it will be something else. Personally my veris work well for me, they show a consistent picture of the person that I am and I think it has helped me meet some lovely people |

I personally don't think verifications really matter for women. As long as they have the green tick they will still get attention I believe they only really make a difference for single males on here and perhaps couples.

yes but my point was they wouldn't need to show there verifications the green tick would prove it and they would still get attention it wouldn't affect them. Single males could be affected as displaying verifications for some can be a USP in my opinion. |

See, if you;re verified, you're verified.Its nobodies business who by, or how many.
Who they have met is no indication of who they will meet - nor, lets face it, a true representation of all their meets because no-one publishes a crap verification. you'll never see a veri which said 'they wiped their arse on my bedspread and pissed in my fishtank'.
So 'using' them in the manner described just becomes another form of control that people think that they can exert over others.

No. But I use that as another filter. Veris are not the only thing that people use to insult.  |
