Mine's Joni Mitchell - Hejira

Pretty unheralded, but a gorgeous suite of songs about travel, lost love and escape. The music is haunting and beautiful and every lyric is masterful.

My brother bought the VHS when it came out. Cost him a fortune back then. I used to watch it every day and knew it verbatim. So far ahead of its time.

Quincy Jones was a great producer in that era too, Donna Summer and the likes.
