The Stone Roses-stone roses, echo and the bunnymen-songs to learn and sing, the smiths-hatful of hollow and Big Country-the crossing are the albums I've listened to the most. I couldn't possibly decide between them. |

"Stone Roses - Stone Roses , best part of 30 years old but still a great album "
Jesus, don't say that to me. I feel old
Mine's Joni Mitchell - Hejira
Pretty unheralded, but a gorgeous suite of songs about travel, lost love and escape. The music is haunting and beautiful and every lyric is masterful. |

When I was much much younger it felt like the only album on planet earth "
My brother bought the VHS when it came out. Cost him a fortune back then. I used to watch it every day and knew it verbatim. So far ahead of its time.
Quincy Jones was a great producer in that era too, Donna Summer and the likes.
