One of mine is drivers on mobile phones who just carry on when turning, nearly crash into you. Do they put their mobile phone down - no!

When a road narrows (no road markings) and i hold back so the oncoming traffic can come through.. and they dont nod/raise hand/flash lights or give any indication of thanks..

People who stroll into the road, looking at you approaching and expect you to stop.
I just keep going. Its amazing how stupid they look when they suddenly run out of the way panicing.
It should be legalised to run them over and all cars fitted with cameras to prove they deserved it  |

lack of indicators, wrong lane use.
those that roar past you and then cut in, in front, missing you by inches when there is nothing for ages. if you can go that fast..then get in front of me a bit more, before changing lanes..
biggest gripe though is truck drivers, whom you are about to overtake on a dual carriageway but they decide to pull out in front of you ( there was nothing behind) and then take five miles to overtake another lorry..
im a happy person in general, pretty chilled out actually, but this is does piss me off. thanks for the therapy..cheques in the post |

This is a new thing since the great idea to put traffic lights on large roundabouts. If you are going straight over and in lane 2, you have to be very aware of drivers doing this. |

A few months ago I would have said cyclists. However, As I have now taken up cycling I can see road use from their perspective!
However what gets right up my nose whether I'm behind the wheel or in the saddle is the cycle lanes that switch from road to pavement, then back again. It's dangerous to both parties IMHO. |

Right here goes.
Car drivers that don't give bikes the respect they deserve, they pay their tax, fuel and even need another license to drive them. Only to have some idiot pull out on them, or do something equally stupid.
Peo using their mobile phone while driving, why do it.
Tailgating, when I am doing the speed limit overtaking other cars I ain't going to move for some idiot who flashes at me. All that happens then is you get a windscreen full of spray from my washer bottle.
Numpties that brake check you, one day I won't bother slowing down I will quite happily hit the back of your car and driver off smiling, it will be on camera of course. (I know it is illegal )
Cyclists who seem to think it is ok to drive at night, no lights against the flow of traffic and expect you to get out of the way.
Pedestrians who step out in front of you when there clearly isn't any space for them to cross, they expect you to stop and let them cross when their is heavy traffic flow.
Car drivers that pull out in front of you, forcing you to slam on the brakes to avoid hitting them, then when you sound the horn they act like you are in the wrong.
People who have no idea how to drive on roundabouts, their lane discipline is shocking.

1.Foglight wankers
2.People who turn right in the left lane when it's left or right choice at a roundabout.
3. People who turn right in the middle lane of a three choice roundabout when I'm turning right in the right lane.
4. People who race through the red light of the local motorway junction when it's green for me at a stupid speed and nearly killing me.
5. People who turn right on the same motorway junction when their lane says straight only...and nearly killing me.
6. Selfish people who park in disabled and pram only parking bays.
7. Knobs that park on the zigzags of a crossing.
8. People who drive through zebra crossings when someone is on them.
9.Idiots at the local tescos who don't get junctions.
10. People who have animals/children not seatbelted in.

Errrr it's really easy when all 3 lanes are going at roughly the same speed, making it difficult to come in when you want to exit.

The most annoying thing at the moment is electronic signs that tell me that junction 51 of a motorway 60 miles away that i am not going to be on, is closed. or queue caution and speed restriction when the road is actually empty except for me. |

This I what I say every morning.. On a road that is 50mph on sat navs, but new road signage says 40.. So they fly past me when I'm doing 39... Then slam the brakes on if they see the sign! |

If memory serves me right, the highway code says you shouldn't go through a red light for emergency vehicles...
On the subject of blinding lights.
After midnight the local street lights go off. Unhelpfully the traffic lights are ultra bright LEDs,as you approach them you cannot see past them into the junction. |

The new style motorway layouts where two roads collide/are running parallel...twats just criss cross to swap from one to another...it pees me off that they speed past you only to just veer right in front of you from an outer lane thus crossing three lanes and then having to rapidly slow down...you know it's coming you tit just get in the right frikkin lane behind me and slow the feck down |

I have far too much that annoys me whilst driving, but some highlights:
People using their mobiles whilst driving - what is so important that you need to text or call whilst driving?
People that leave too late for work then drive like lunatics - leave 10 minutes earlier, problem solved
People that tailgate a foot from your bumper - no mr bmw driver, i wont move over so you can move 1 car length forward
Fog lights when its raining...hmmm
People with blown bulbs thatbdrive like that for weeks (ive passed a guy 3 weeks running that has 1 headlight bulb, so he puts his fog lights on, but the fog light on the opposite side has also blown)
People that undercut and try and cut back in
People that dont filter in, instead drive all the way to the front so some fucker lets them in.
I spend most of my drive to and from work either shaking my head in disbelief or saying "what the fuck are you doing"

On the motorcycle in bad weather I use the middle lane, had too many bad experiences of hitting diesel and the bike going into the other lanes. So it gives me some escape room."
I do this too especialy at night, few times had bits of tyre/car/general things in the road and haveing 2 possible escape routes is nice.
Usualy going fast enough that its not a problem for anyone though |

Iirc if your lane is clear and you are proceeding at the speed of traffic/the limit its not undertaking.
Othwrwise when all 3 lanes are stopped neither of the inside 2 could move till the outside one does because they'd be under taking.
You have to manoeuvre for it to be an undertake.

You should use the outside lane to overtake not the inside lane.
And I agree, middle lane drivers are a pain in the arse!

You're allowed to undertake if you didn't move into that lane specifically to do so. In other other words, if you're tootling along in lane one at the speed limit and you're gaining on an a hole in lane 2, you can keep in lane one and undertake, without having to cross two lanes to overtake! |

I have to emerge every morning from a side road onto a main road with an obscured view from a bend.
It drives me mad when , instead of completing their manouvre, drivers stop and flash their lights to let me out of the side road.
I don't move. ( there are reasons why )
They get really irate because I won't come out.
Why don't they just fucking finish their move and leave me to drive my own sodding car. They have right of way and are forcing me into a blind bend. Stupid gits. |

Yea, I know they have right of way, bit seen this happen a few times, quite a few people don't seem to actually check that they CAN cross road, but seen a few just walk straight across, absolutely insane/suicidal. Use the damn green cross code etc.

I was 10 cars back in a queue on a roundabout as traffic lights were red
they then changed to green and all cars went apart from the one car right in front of me, she had decided at the last minute to take out a cigarette and light up, leaving me and a queue of cars behind her, I just managed to pull out and pass her, she didn't give two f*cks that there was a load of cars behind her |

Changing a radio station is nowhere near as much a distraction as using a mobile phone, as for changing a cd, just pull over for a minute while you change it. A phone call often takes alot longer and can easily result in a fatal accident. |

Although not roads, car parks drive me insane, I'll start with people who can clearly see you reversing out of a space but decide they will slowly wander past the back of the car , then the people who park next to you, they clearly have a nice space to park in the middle of but no, they have to park as closely as possible to your door, it's not easy squeezing this ass out of a car as it is then it's the car park itself, all one way, so you have to drive five miles in circles just to get to the exit or they have fifty million entrances and exits and so it becomes wacky races just to leave the bloody thing that has driven me so mad in the first place and just to add, anyone on the roads that drive me mad enough to shout ' knobcheese' at them whilst I have my angels in the car , I try really hard not to swear in front of them and driving is probably the only time I do, I'm just waiting for the ' mum what's a knobcheese question' generally though I am a fairly calm driver Mrs blue eyes  |

By that logic we should all drive everywhere with a blindingly bright white light on top of our cars turned on all the time.
There is a reason the Highway Code rule is that fog lights should not be used until visibility is below 100 meters.
We use a brake light system that relies on recognising a red light becoming brighter to indicate that the car is braking.
Turning on very bright tail lights when it's raining causes panic reaction braking on motorways when people glimpse fog lights think cars are braking.
Fog lights on rainy days simply cause glare.
It is very, very rarely so foggy that fog lights are needed. |

Unlike forgetting to turn them off after leaving a foggy patch which, although still annoying, could be considered a genuine mistake. |
