...so, just popped out to get some milk and on my way to the shops (down the six miles of country lanes), a herd of deer popped out on me, 6 does, 2 fawns and a stag..... all 6 does were white..
Perfect end to a beautiful day
((p.s. if anyone in North/West Devon would like some venison.......JOKE!! JOKE honest!)) |

Pure white or just pale?
You seem to get quite a lot of very light coloured deer in certain places on the Forest (although, I'd say that the majority of forest deer are actually darker than the ones you see on the downs). I've only ever seen one I'd call true white though. |

Only caught a good view of the last four, all pink-eyed.... There were 2 does there a few years back that were pure white, so I am guessing the strain is breeding (if that is possible genetically); the fawns were tawny though.. |

"I had a fuck
You do realise the OP was referring to something else right, it was a metaphor ..... "
Of course.
And I took your beautiful metaphor and picked it up and... dropped it.
Can't take me anywhere.

"I had a fuck
Whilst you were posting on the forum? That is multi-tasking.
I need one.
Before then. Shag break.
Ask and ye shall receive! "
If only...
It's the end of the day and I'm heading for bed but may be back if the election results keep me up.
Enjoy your doe-eyed does, whatever their colour.

Sounds great. The closest I get to wildlife is the family of squirrels that use my back garden as a playground |

The 'albino' gene is recessive & works to block the production of colour pigment. So when two recessives get together it increases the chances of albino babies.
My understanding is that its effectively a DNA 'mutation' & Darwin's theory of natural selection suggests that changes to DNA only work when environmental conditions suit the change. Albinos tend to have a lot of health complications but it seems that these deer are thriving so that's good news
Unless of course…Mother Nature is preparing us for the next ice age ???
But…white deers….awwww |
