The bookies?

Leicester were 5000-1 at the start of the season, and now they have to pay out quite a few million!

Oh and well done to the Premier League winners 2016

Nope! Never feel sorry for bookies they don't feel sorry when they take your money for example when the took those bets at the beginning of the season they just see it as money they was collecting no chance of paying out

they will be paying out very little very few have a bet on it . The bookies will make more out of it in free advertising than they pay out

Well there was a report a few weeks ago that a person had a £500 bet on it, and another who has a undisclosed sum, I bet they won't be going into work tomorrow morning.

Errrr if they pay out a few million thats nothung in comparison the the gazzilion they would have took on the market. Chelsea, man city etc would have been worse result.

I doubt very much that any bookie will be happy having to pay out vast amounts for such a little backing.

Yes they may have taken money for Chelsea/Arsenal/Liverpool etc, but their odds were very low, nothing like the 5000-1 they are now paying out.

Oh and just to point out, 5000 x 500 is over 2 million... for ONE customer.

Happy for the winners, spend wisely

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

That's the point about gambling. Sometimes you win.

They often have a cap on maximum winnings. If there was a cap, the punters were stupid to put the whole lot on if the bet hadn't came off they would have lost more than necessary

You really aren't getting this are you? 2,000,000 paid out on a 5000-1 bet wis worth 10x that in advertising and is a hell of a lot cheaper than the fifty or more millions they would have paid out if the big four had won
