its my parents 60th wedding anniversary today........what an achievment i think!!! Hope we get to be married for that long, only 38 more years before we catch up lol!!!!!! |

My parents made 42yrs before my dad died
We'll get to 28yrs this June " 42 is such an achievment too!!!!! |

When i was a patient transport driver i carried a couple who where soon to celebrate there 60th wedding anniversary and as I'd just got married i asked him what the secret of a long happy marriage was,
he looked me in the eye and with a dead straight face said DOING AS YOUR BLOODY TOLD!!
I just pissed myself was so dead pan about it. |

Sometimes with the best intentions it just does not work out. We are no less worthy because we had to put it aside.
I agree that it is lovely for those who manage so many happy years together but there is no point in staying together if you are unhappy is there? |
