Why do women go on about us blokes lifting toilet seats?
Why does it have to be us that lifts them? Surely its not beyond the abilities of a woman to lift the seat after they have used it, instead of leaving it down and expecting us to lift it up.
I did have this conversation with a lady colleague, her answer was that "women shouldn't have to touch something dirty like a toilet seat"
Huh?
So they are dirty and shouldn't be touched by women, but its ok for a bloke to do it! What's more it was her opinion that not only should we lift it, but we should lower it afterwards as well.
That made we wanna go and leave it down and deliberatly pee on it (we have shared toilet facilities) |

Jeez a toilet is only as dirty as you make it. It takes naff all time to put a bloody dettol wet cloth over it. It will never be dirty. I've heard some bollocks in my time but that tops it |

"Why do women go on about us blokes lifting toilet seats?"
That's a bit of a sweeping generalisation! I don't give a monkies about the loo seat, it makes me smile if I have company and the loo seat gets left up. I live alone so generally have control of the lavvie!
It pisses me off more when people leave the loo roll empty with the new one sitting on top or worse still, they hang it up the WRONG way round! |

Omg yes!
I have OCD so the loo roll HAS to go on the right way or I would sit thinking about it constantly.

If you don't put the toilet seat and lid down before the flush - the spray from the water sloshing round the pan goes all over the bathroom in a fine mist - so you are effectively covering everything in the range of a couple of feet with piss globules or worse.... strong case for rinsing your toothbrush in bleach every morning lol |

I recall a 'how not to get the clap on an overseas tour' lecture some years ago.
Someone asked if it was possible to get HIV from a toilet seat.
"Not even if you ate a whole one" was the answer. |

That is unforgivable and earns a strong letter of complaint in my book too *twitches at the thought* |

As a woman, i honestly couldnt agree with you more. It must be the most ridiculous nonsequential thing to complain about. It takes two seconds to put a toilet seat down, hardly a life threatening thing to do.
It makes me seriously wonder what other petty stuff people complain about if there complaining about something so trivial. But of cause thats my opinion lol |

Thank fuck for that! I thought I was the only person who thought like this! Don't really mind if the loo seat is left up, but toilet roll hanging down the back is, quite frankly, wrong!

I know for certain that the facilities that are abused the most in our local Leisure Centres, Swimming Pools and Ice Rink are the women's toilets. R

My misses has given up asking me to put the seat down. Never used to do it. Then did for a bit then stopped so now I just leave it and she puts it down then I out it back up again. Think its fair that way. I have to lift she has to put down.
As for the loo roll thing. We dont have a holder so its sits on top of the radiator lol... So there is no right or wrong way.

How many of the women that complain about toilet seats being left up actually teach their little boys to put them back down after they have 'been'? I am sure that if my mother had explained it to me when I was a small boy, then I would automatically put the seat back down.

I think there was actually a study done on the toilet seat thing.
( im thinking while typing - I'll have a go )
Cough..
Woman goes in. Toilet seat is up. She has to put it down.
Man goes in. Toilet seat is down. He has to put it up and then down.
Woman goes in toilet seat is down. She pees.
Man goes in toilet seat is down. He has to put it up then down.
Well it's clear to me. Women wanting the seat down is divisive and sexist....... ( Fnarrr ) it's labour intensive for men. It's NOT what their right arm is for!
Fair way MUST be.
Women pee ...put seat up.
Men pee ....put seat down.
Now Bloody well work together ffs !
And don't piss out of turn or you'll mess things up. |
