Have you considered getting a better paid job instead of being bitter about it?

I think he has every right to be bitter about it, dole waller abuses system! Loses all his money gambling and then get a further handout? Whilst some famalies struggle to make ends meet

It is all that is wrong with this country

yeah because that makes it right? why should people on benefits be on better money than those who work? it really does take the piss. where is the incentive to work of you can earn more on benefits?

I don't care about what other people get. I just work to ensure I have a good quality of life. Wasting energy on the income of other people isn't a priority of mine.

The media fuels the benefits debate. Not many of those on benefits get more than those that work. They've just changed the council tax rules to get more claimants to pay.

I've been job hunting for ages and I'd love a job, though in a tourist town full time jobs are few & far between.

I'm on the absolute minimum of JSA, and almost half of my JSA goes on rent top ups & bills.

Don't tar everyone who has to clsim benefits with the same brush .

One story (true or not), causes more 'rebble rousing' then anything. I am on disability and would gladly give all benifits up to be fit enough to work(I am on morphine every four hours). I was a 'workaholic'.

People who cheat should be caught, but if the cost of catching them is equal to or more then saved, would the reasources not be better put into other areas?

This is a 'marmite' subject. People will never agree.

But why are you justifying your income? Fuck them. Normal people aren't jealous of those on an incredibly low fixed income. It's sheer resentment.

I can say from experience that it's pretty hard to cheat the dole, more so now than it ever has been!

They used to just give your job search book a half arsed once over, now they monitor n check every detail apparently.....I found it easier to just get a job rather than have those cunts breathing down my neck!

If only these simpletons got as wound up by politicians n fat cats that line their pockets fraudulently by ripping us off/dodging tax etc...etc.And in most cases that's for big money, not a few hundred or a couple of thousand a year because 'Dave'down the pub sais he can't work because of his bad back!

those television programmes love to sensationalise things with half truths and downright lies and add to that some clever editing.. I really refuse to watch any of that sort of garbage.. well I can't anyway as I don't have a television..
