That really saddens me, though I've heard many stories like that before. Sadly there's a lot of ignorance and dumb thinking surrounding female pubic hair and female body hair generally. It's these kinds of comments (even coming from women themselves in some cases) that has helped perpetuate the current shaving obsession. Now I have no problem with people shaving if that's what they want to do. However, if women are being made to feel that having pubic hair (or body hair) is somehow abnormal or dirty or weird in some way then that's just plain wrong. I hate to think that there's such a stigma attached to something that's so natural. Very much a modern day issue. Remember, no one gave a toss about it back in the day. Vive la bush! |
