Blue food?

Jump to: Newest in thread

Does anyone else really not like blue food?

Blue smarties were awful. And I know it's technically not food but I love orange and red WKD and can't go near blue.

And I was given a tropical Sourz shot at the weekend. It was blue. Not nice!

Anyone else not like it? Everyone seems to drink blue WKD and not the other colours. And friends of mine went crazy over blue smarties!

I don't trust blue food, kitchen driving plasters are blue so you can see them if they fall in food, so if the food is blue.....you know what I'm saying

I don't mind naturally blue food. I think I don't like the taste of blue food colouring. People have tried to say it doesn't have a taste but it does!

(I love blue cheese!)

London and France

Its a fact;

There are very few naturally blue foods; psychologically, the human mind tends to dislike blue foods.

There have been several experiments where identical foods have been dyed different colours;

90% of subjects said the blue food tasted strange, but the identical food, colored red or yellow was tastier.

They were unable to tell the difference blind.

Blue food has been used as an appetite suppressant.

However, blue drinks have been shown to seem more refreshing and cooler.

Ahh that was because she used blue string to tie the veg together. Moral of the story: blue string doesn't taste very nice either!

Blue plates are also known to be an appetite suppressant, white have no effect and red makes you eat more.

TV dinners, there's nothin' else to eat

TV dinners, they really can't be beat

I like 'em frozen but you understand

I throw 'em in and wave 'em and I'm a brand new man, oh yeah

TV dinners, they're goin' to my head

TV dinners my skin is turnin' red

Twenty year old turkey in a thirty year old tin

I can't wait until tomorrow and thaw one out again, oh yeah

TV dinners, I'm feelin' kinda rough

TV dinners, this one's kinda tough

I like the enchiladas and the teriyaki too

I even like the chicken if the sauce is not too blue

And they're mine, all mine, oh yeah

And they sure are fine

Gotta have 'em, gimme somethin' now
