After answering a post on here about celebs we fancy, I did a bit of googling and realised that actually the guy I have a jaw dropping, panty wetting crush on, if he was short haired and clean shaven, I wouldn't actually look twice at if I saw him on the street! And it's not that I only like a certain type, it's more that his hair a certain way makes his eyes pop, his facial hair accentuates his lips and cheekbones and without it he looks, well, less panty wetting.
Then I realise that women probably do this without even realising, I know if I cut my hair short, my face looks rounder so I keep it long, if I wear a fringe I look younger, I know what hair colours make my eyes pop etc so I groom to accentuate what I feel are my good bits.
How many guys do this? Experiment with different looks to make the most of what you've got? Or are you a whatever is comfortable kind of guy?
Most of the guys I know still have the same hairstyle they had at school when their mum took them to the barber's unless they've gone thin on top and then just shaved it off.
Lots of posts from guys everyday about cock size which is the one thing you can't really do anything about but never see any posts about style tips or grooming.

Im a scruffy git. My hair gets cut when it gets in my eyes usually. Always unshaven or at the least stubble, cant remember the last time a razor touched my face. |

"I never use a razor, real men like me burn it off with a blowtorch. Goatees get trimmed with an axe "
You, Sir, are hardcore. I aspire to your levels of manliness. I bet you strike matches on your stubble like cowboys do too? |

"So you are asking if us guys should make our cheekbones and eyes pop a bit more OP? "
I'm asking if you go through the thought process of wanting to look the best you can and tailoring your style to achieve that, or just stick with what's comfy and easy?

Interesting point you make. I do believe that women on the whole do groom in appearance to look their best, where as men just dont really give a rats on a day to day basis.
I myself do take a little pride in my appearance and it all stems from a meet i had some years ago on another site.
I was chatting to said lady on the phone prior to meeting and I asked her if she minded beards?
She replied with "Aslong as its George Michael and not ZZ Top"
So ever since then I have kept my beard neat |

I've changed my look over the years both in how I look....hair....usually quite short now....sometimes I have stubble...sometimes a goatie...sometimes not...and also clothes....I'm much slimmer than I was five or six years ago..so can wear clothes that are fitted which looks so much better. Always like to smell good to with nice aftershave. Whether I actually look better...I don't know as that depends on what people think and I never ask but get nice comments from people I sometimes don't see that often so I think they notice changes. |

"I spend a lot of time with guys in their early twenties up and they do experiment with styles a lot. It may have been earlier generations that didn't. "
I think you're right Sophie, younger guys do seem to be much more aware of the styling powers at their disposal |

It's always good to experiment, I used to be close cropped and clean shaven with maybe the occasional bit of stubble when feeling lazy, but had a bit of a play a couple of years ago and let it grow, it's now past the shoulder with a short neatly trimmed beard, and I've had a lot of compliments on how much better I look, does take more work to be sure...but with great power comes great responsibility to groom... |

I'm usually clean shaven with the exception of a wee 'soul patch' or 'clit tickler' but right now have a long salt n pepper beard (badger stripe style). Met folks this past two weeks with work I haven't seen for years and all said I look so much younger - yet I think I look younger san beard.
Moral is, you can't win! So do your own thang and be you.
