Im looking for a new sofa at present and have been to the usual outlets, dfs, scs and the like. I have not really seen anything I like at a reasonable price.
I keep getting adverts on my facebook timeline from many different sellers offering sofas etc for sale, has anyone purchased a sofa or similar goods from facebook and what experience did you have?
TIA |

Facebook monitors what you do on the internet, whilst you're not logged in to their site as well as when you are. Google Will also monitor you and force adverts it interprets as interesting - ie you'll buy.
You can mainly avoid their surveillance of you by using a separate web browser just for fb etc or deleting/not permitting cookies on the one that you use as standard.
I find it too intrusive and dislike such snooping with a vengeance. |

I know facebook dont sell sofas lol and i dont mind seeing the adverts
All i was asking is if people had bought anything from a business seller on facebook and is it worth risking? If anyone has bought a sofa from facebook a company name would be handy etc

"Facebook don't sell sofas, they look at everything you click on and tailor the ads they send you to match your viewing habits. "
They spy on you....I find Facebook to be rather creepy! |

Certainly in local selling groups. Ok if you can pop round to see it first. Not so bad when they in the area. good luck.
I have bought chairs from Ebay and been very happy. My last purchase there was Old Charm table and chairs for £75 not a mark on it, thrilled to bits. |
