2 things i wanted to do and was going to stay on and do A levels in art geograhy and math - then choose one or the other - they were interior design or cartography - ended up going into office work and accountancy  |

Me too, I started late in life though, I didn't go to uni untill I left my husband, I've had some real shit jobs in the past but once I became single I sorted my life out and am now where I want to be |

Started off in my pre teens wanting to be a miner, then they closed bold & fronting colliery.
Then in my teens wanted to join the navy, only to get an eye injury that stopped that.
After that I stopped thinking about what I wanted to do. |

I wanted to be a riding instructor but allergic to horses and working in riding schools kept putting me in hospital with asthma attacks.
Also wanted to be a stripper, guess I'm kind of there with that one! |

I always wanted to be a pro rugby player, and tbf I almost made it to the very top. But sadly my love for women, booze and trouble overweighed any chances of me making a name for myself. I do have regrets (don't we all?) but hey life goes on right  |

I wanted to be She-Ra & ride Battle Cat!!
Then I thought I wanted to join the Navy as a pilot but discove_ed that I was more hippy & wouldn't tolerate the discipline!! |

I truly believed that I was going to be a pop singer and wear lots of pretty dresses like the ladies I saw performing on the telly. I loved light colours, especially white, but they didn't suit my pale complexion...so, as a 4yr old it was clear to me that I needed to be black. It took years for me to understand that it was just never going to happen  |

I wanted to be a soldier and was for 12 years. Good fun mostly , some close calls. Happier and wiser now. I enjoy the profession I do now much more. Protecting those who cannot protect themselves. |

No, never wanted to be a princess. I wanted to be Calamity Jane, I loved the film as a kid and still do.
Then I wanted to be a secretary for a while, until I realised I would be rubbish at it. |

All I wanted to be was alive when I grew up x because I got told I'd be lucky to see my next birthday if I didn't buck my ideas up lol x |

I wanted to be an actuary when I left primary school as I loved maths. Then an engineer, and now I'm in a different non technical field which pays better so I'm happy. |

It depends when you asked. In 1982 when the documentary The Paras was on telly, I and everyone in my class wanted to be a Para and we'd all be arguing over P Company in the playground. After that I fancied teaching history. Then I decided to be Tina Titz, available for weddings, birthdays and buffets.  |
