I don't show those I've been given, don't mind people showing those I've given them.
Some people insist you show your veris, well I guess I'm gonna have to live without meeting those people. |

Worse, because no women (who I'm actually looking to meet) would only meet me for a social, everyone pushed play. So only men would give me veris on cam, and that fact has stopped women meeting me before. |

We always used to show ours but after having a few messages bitching about a couple of people that had verified us, we've hid them. Just can't be bothered with all that playground crap!
We're often fickle, so we're probably think, stuff it and show them again sooner or later.

Exactly. I do what I want to do with mine, others should do exactly what they want to do with theirs. If someone gets jealous over you meeting others then it's great that they show themselves so you can decide if you want to meet them again or not. |

Have had this in the past - very shitty messages, others messaging the person who veri'd and others who think that them saying "I'll xyz better" will get a meet

I show them, the only hint of jealousy I've ever had is being blocked by people that have also met someone that I've met.
Though I probably wouldn't show a graphic verification, though I don't tend to meet the kind of people who would that  |

I've never felt any need not to show a selection of verifications, and I certainly haven't come across any jealousy. Most of the people that verify us have also verified each other, in that we all attend the same parties and play with the same people. This is the swing scene - it's supposed to allow people to have sexual freedom, without jealously causing limitations. If I have more than one lover or fuck buddy, wouldn't occur to me that someone would have an issue with that, likewise I have no issue if one of my men is verified by someone else. |

However the lamppost pissing ,can get really bitchy when there's a single guy in the middle of it all!
Can think of a couple ,of male high profile forumite's last year getting openly torn upon; to the point that when they retaliated and said "enough" - they were the ones removed from the forum/site "in the interests of the Fab community "
Not sure how that works ,when they , weren't at fault. |

That's shocking. But probably one of the reasons we only play with experienced swingers who understand swing etiquette. And verifications, in part, help me get a picture as to whether an individual is experienced on the swing scene and is comfortable with the dynamics. |

I display mine more as a way of showing the types of guys I'm interested in.
I do like reading others' veris, especially if I'm going to meet them. It's not a deal breaker if someone doesn't display them though, as long as they are verified. |

If we must have veris; ( I remain unconvinced that they are of the slightest use);
Then
1. It should simply be a series of yes/ no responses to simple questions. Ie is the person(s) the gender they say? Did they turn up? Do they bear a passing resemblance to their profile?
2. No text
3. A date of the veri/ meet
4. No identification of the person giving the veri, except man/ woman/ TV/TS/ couple.( even that is unnecessary, really )

The verification system is good indicator as to the type of person you are likely to meet . Obviously if it's a newbie with none , it's a risk , but otherwise one can ascertain the type of play and attitude of the people from their veris .
You can also get an idea of the person you are going to meet from the people they have met .
Clearly the consensus from this thread is that not showing them is the way forward for most . Which is not so bad as the forum is also a good tool to understand the character of a potential meet . But unless you've chatted for some time with an unknown profile who never frequents the forum , you don't really have any idea what may be in store on a meet if they don't show any veris .
For us , we would rather have some idea of the person we are meeting from a more independent perspective , especially if we were going to travel . A few veris would give us more confidence that they were likely to be real and actually up for meeting . A hidden summary and none showing could be that they just have a cam veri which means nothing at all .
We show a few of ours , the most recent and a selection of different types of meet . People often travel long distances to meet us , and invariably say they did so as they knew we would be there when we said we would be . There are so many timewasters and dreamers on fab , and the verification system is one way to get a better idea of whether the potential meet will turn up .
It certainly works well for us . |
