Just read that the government is planning to make 11,000 of our armed forces redundant, on the very same day that David Cameron announced that the UK has not ruled out military intervention in Libya.
Also....is this not a smack in the mouth for our armed forces during extremely difficult and stressful operations in Afghanistan?
Is there no depths these Tories won't plummet to? |

"Did I miss the thread on the foreign aid increases?"
Heard that little snipped on the news this morning. For the life of me I can't see why we're sending millions to people that hate us, but knowing the west, and history, you can bet your last penny that if Britain is giving millions is plundering billions somewhere!
Hardly a murmur regarding the troubles in Egypt and Tunisia, but quick to want to interfer in Libya...gee, I wonder why that is?!!
Time for another cappuccino! |

"Its times like this i wanna say to those who voted them in....told ya so.
But i will resist.
"as you sew, so shall you reap" "
Labour would have been just as bad with this crisis both parties are hopeless but I'd say Con Lib are the lesser of two evils. |

seems to be like a badge of office to engage in illegal conflicts where none of the children of your 'class' are sent to die.
big tick list;
privatise the NHS, let chums in the 'city' get away with raping the country oh and lets have a new war!!
ps. note to chums who came with me to sell weapons and 'public order' devices to dodgy regimes, dont unpack your cases. |

we got aircraft carriers with no planes on them.
they were on about sharing battle ships with the french, who we were at war with for hundreds of years.
now they want to lay off some of the army.
never mind about us attacking anyone.
they might attack us.

the tories,are creating a situation(yes like labour)where war,is the likely outcome.
whilst at the same time, cutting the number of front line troops.who will fight and die,in the conflict.i would say it was madness.
but think of those poor bankers.they got a right slap on the wrists, and only a marginal increase,on there wages, and bonuses.
i keep hearing the tory line.we all must make sacrifices, and contribute, towards the recovery.
oh except the very people, who created the financial crisis.
the tories always look after their own.at the expense of everybody else. |

The new aircraft carriers are not to bad an idea, except: no planes for them: the F22 VTOL is way behind delivery, fully loaded it can't take off vertically/ski jump like the harrier as yet.
b) you can't use other aircraft as it has no sling shot on it (can't use a steam one as they will have no steam generator), the electromagnetic one is still in R&D by the Yanks. (pretty cool http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=27k6pH5sZ5M)
c) no pilots, getting rid of 25% of those. Hell should at least keep them in the RAF but put them on secondment in the civilian sector. *shrugs*
But it would be a good platform not only for war but for a lot of the other humanitarian activities the armed forces get involved in.
End of the day it reminds me of a computer game red alert (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=082SVCTAcZM) where you realise you've run out of money (gone bankrupt) so you start selling everything off to try and get funds to build one factory... but you end up with just one guy left stood in the middle with a stick!
Well the cost of us all living beyond our means has come back to bite us, well ok us folk below the glass ceiling! |
