Have you ever been laying in bed and not sure if you have actually been asleep,
That happened to me about 5 times last night, I'd look at the clock and it was 1am then 2am etc, I wasn't sure if I was dreaming or thinking to myself,
But what I do know is I have felt absolutely knackered all day

Most nights unfortunately
I'd like to say you get used to it but you don't.
Try changing your routine before getting into bed.
Can often help to break any cycles your body has got into. |

I woke up at 4am thinking it was just before my usual get up time...
I was a bit miffed to say the least that it wasn't...
so I went to the loo and thankfully went straight back to sleep |

Google sleep hygiene tips.
And I find checking the clock is the worst thing I can do for insomnia.
I also found that green tea stops me sleeping properly! I think I'm very caffeine sensitive. (I don't drink tea or coffee otherwise). |
