Still upset about the purple sod. Seeing Larry Graham and Sheila E at the memorial set me off again.

Which is ridiculous. Massively respected and loved his work but never met the man. Yet feel like I've lost a friend.

How silly

I'm not too bad, did cry about him dying and i've also never met him.

I bought all his albums before i had kids, still got them, used to fancy him when i was a teen.

Sometimes you just feel sad about some things and don't need to know a person to get upset about them.

If he did have a sex dungeon, which is totally plausable, it just makes me love him more, in his interviews he was always very dominant but respectful, unles someone pusses him off, but it's not that much of a stretch of the imagination to say , yeah, he was a Dom, his persona fits in my opinion anyway

I was taught not to speak ill of the dead, so I'll just say he made a lot of albums

How do you know they're actually even dead. Maybe they are sick of being in the limelight and in fact buggar off to somewhere remote to live a "normal" life

Some people I've mourned more than others.. Some people I've listened to when I've been happy, sad or heartbroken - they have 'been there' for me. One tweet I've seen sums it up very well for me:

''Thinking about how we mourn artists we've never met. We don't cry because we knew them, we cry because they helped us know ourselves.''

Somehow I only heard he had died today. 16 is turning out to be a hell off a year. Love him or hate him he had some stunning women around him

Prince is a huge loss to music, he was in a line with James Brown and George Clinton, there's just not that many people that can get on stage, keep a band that tight and lay down the funk that heavy. I don't see any musicians these days that can do what they did (George Clinton can't even do it these days), that I find very sad.
