It's a brilliant drama - but it's going to be axed! It seems it was planned as five series, each of ten episodes, covering the history of India from the early 1930's up to Independence. However, having got to nearly the end of Series 2 the viewing figures have dropped to only about 1 million, and consequently there's not going to be any more. Sad, as it's a very good drama.

Having said that, I found the "cuckold" episode rather squalid and unpleasant - the Maharajah was a real slimeball.
