Why have you invested everything into one man? It seems silly to me.

I've had lots of last minute cancellations and disappearances after a meet's been arranged - but then I've also had loads of outstanding meets and overall the best sex of my life on fab by far - mostly thanks to single guys!

Like everyone else on here - I take the rough with the smooth And hope for the best! X

A year just lining up a meet?!

Fine if chatting as friends, but a year Lol

Time wasting in general is a pain in the ass. Messaging to build tension, awesome. Wasting time, exactly that. Move on!

Come on really? Life does get in the way sometimes, not everyone is a time waster or should be labelled as such.

If I was speaking to a couple for a year without meeting then I'd consider that maybe it was them wasting my time...nothing is so black and white ...think about that and mabye see what he says next time he is online before going in huffs.

We single guys are a waste of time... Oh wait, is that not what I'm meant to say? lol

Let me try that again...

As is with most walks of life, it's working out who is worth your time and who isn't. And not to attempt to cover all with one blanket.

For every one of this chap, there will be many more (who are just as suitable) who would not do as he did.

Happy Hunting

I would like to name the female equivalent of a "white knight" a "shield maiden" in honour of Lagerther from viking mythology..

,,,will end shield maidens step forward and defend the single men?

Flip side of it could be the other guy just got fed up waiting... in saying that. A year?!

Ok you have not mentioned if discussions were general chit chat ie more friend chat over the year or if anyone at some point mentioned meeting at any point or not. But am sure more people would soon get bored with this setup.

Why did it take a year to arrange a meet? Seems a bit strange you would have waited that long

Back where I belong

Not all single guys are time wasters. I was exchanging messages with a couple for a few weeks and arranged a day to meet, but when I asked where and what time - suddenly they're not replying and go quiet!!! Now removed from my friends list and I've moved on.

Oh and I've been told some single women do the same to guys.

Moral of the story, it's not just single men xx

If he hasn't been online then he's probably just busy... people do do other things outside of fab.

I took a year to meet a guy it was one of the best meets ever. So it does happen.

One woman sent me 74 messages arranging to meet . Most of conversation early hours of the morning . We swapped phone numbers , and at the last minute she backed out . I wasn't pleased ....but I certainly don't blame all single women for the actions of one . So your logic is quite bizarre . Maybe you are doing all us single guys a huge favour by posting this .

Your so right, the amount of time I've been given the runaround by couples and single woman, and because I'm a man of principle, I too am going to block them.

Shite! What have I done

I wouldn't have solely relied upon using Fab as the messaging system to get the full details of the meet finalised.

I'd have wanted to speak on the phone to ascertain whether we got on as live interactive people and sense the reality of the proposition.

If someone could or would not provide a phone number it would be cause for concern and suggest that they weren't fully as described. A cheap sim card means the family home number does not have to be divulged.

People who are not single often have inability to talk out of business hours and the ops contact may have been deceitful. It's also common that someone changes their relationship status over the course of a year.

But overall I really think you need to speak, before confirming a meet with someone. I turn down meets where they won't.

I always find it strange which category gets blamed for a perceived flaw after a bad experience. A single guy turned out to be a turd therefore all single guys are turds. A married guy said he had permission and didn't therefore all married men lie about permission. Maybe both guys wore glasses or had tattoos, drank tea with two sugars and that's what is to blame.

In this case this couple are clearly a sandwich short of a picni . Typical of all couples?

and the winner of this weeks earliest single guy knocking thread

Why not text him, I'm guessing after the length of time you've been chatting you've exchanged phone numbers ??

I don't know what time you were due to meet the guy today ..maybe he'll send the address this morning, either way block move on or don't your choice.

Brighton - even Hove!

Ok, I went to a gathering some time ago and the lady organising it had been chatting to a single guy who agreed to come over but then couldn't find the address. It was a house, clearly marked with a house number...I found it, the postman found it, the person who lives there finds it every day....just weird that the house couldn't be found.

He obviously didn't want to meet but here would have been a better way of saying it than saying he couldn't find the house.

There are hundreds of successful meets with single guys off here weekly. The same applies to single women and couples etc. Posts like this only show the the frustration of a small percentage of people.

Posts like this are not a true reflection of the majority of people on FAB who are meeting successfully without any problems.

Of course it's not nice for anyone to be let down or messed around but thankfully these occurrences are in the minority and not the majority of planned meets.

Forget it move on and look forward to your next successful meet

Sadly he possibly got greater sexual gratification from the chat and setting you up for a fall than he would have from the actual meeting and any potential fun. Block and move on.

So let's get this straight you spend a year talking to someone, are surprised that on the face of it mot going to show and somehow conclude that all single men are the same without considering if maybe you could have done something different?
