"Phantom Menace isn't worth watching at all "
Episodes 1, 2 and 3 were massive disappointments. They should remake them.
Seven wasn't too bad but it's pretty much a rip off of episode 4. |

True , although 7 was more of an introduction to the new characters for the next films , 2 & 3 weren't too bad , would be better if they could replace Hayden Christiansen in them |

True fans don't entertain episodes 1-3, Lucas just went off on a personal indulgence of CGI, as for episode 7, yes a rip off of episode 4, but Abrams done a really good job of rekicking the franchise again, plus rogue one that's due out at Christmas does look really good too. So will be booking my tickets for that |

As a true fan, i'd have have to say episodes 1 - 3 were rather enjoyable. Clones, i fucking love clones, to be more specific episode 3 clones, battalions, commanders....212th cody's regiment are the nuts |

I'm a Star Wars fan. Went to see the new one twice at the cinema when it first came out. Didn't like the new episodes 1-3 they made at all though.

With Star Wars Episode 1 to 3 I have been on something of a journey. When the Phantom Menace came out it was in the days when international release dates were months apart so I was one of the UK fans that went to the US to watch it.
At first I was in denial about its flaws, then like most fans in my age group I rubbished it for years. A good storyline but the script made good actors look painfully bad at their craft. I am now at a point of acceptance helped in part by the words of George Lucas himself. Hopefully not a misquote but what he said was...
" I make films for kids, its not my fault that grown ups like them too"
I was a child when Star Wars came out. There really was nothing like it before so is it any wonder that it so captured our imaginations? Since then it has been done again and again in so many ways. So recapturing that moment would be impossible. So when I watch any Star Wars movies now I now try to put my adult cynical brain to one side and just enjoy the experience for what it is. It kind of works |

I agree. I'm a massive kid at heart so watched the clone wars cartoon series set between films 2 and 3, it helped to flesh out the story lines so much more, showed what the characters had been through with the war on the republic against the separatists, along with the politics involved and it helped that Anakin wasn't a whiney bitch. Jar jar still needs to die though! |

"The best approach is:
Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, go down the pub "
Agreed, except that I started cheering for The Empire fairly soon after the Ewoks appeared.
Sod off Ewoks!..... And as for bloody Jarjar Binks.... |

Check out YouTube for the theory that Ja Ja was originally supposed to be the Phantom Menace. It's really interesting |

"Rogue One is looking really good can't wait for this one and I got my ticket for Star Wars celebrations London this year ... Oh yea"
Me too. I can't wait. I'm off to Comicon at the Excel this month too. The 501st will be there and I'm hoping to get some advice prior to getting my very own Stormtrooper costume. |

Or you watch the Machete order.
4, 5, 2, 3, 6, 7
Cut PM out entirely and treat the prequels as a flashback after the cliffhanger in ESB. Then when you watch ROTJ last there's a greater emotional payoff when Vader redeems himself. |

The fight between Obi wan and Anakin will always be the best to me |

God I use to love the original trilogy, but after the prequels, I lost most of my child like enthusiasm for Starwars in general
Lucas just fucked up that badly
Haven't even bothered with the new one.......well, not just yet |
