Hierarchy of opinionated people

Jump to: Newest in thread

By (user no longer on site) OP     over a year ago

I was trying to create a hierarchy of opinionated people, and I'd value your opinion.

I haven't got very far. Who can add to it?

So far I have:

Mumsnet forum

Fab forum

Mother in laws.

(Just my opinion)

That's just my opinion

Ive never been on mum's net thank goodness if this is 2nd to it!

"hierarchy of opinionated.

Does it count as "opinionated" if:

it's not really an opinion, but something said by someone in a calculated way to be mean (with a smiley, obviously), or;

said in a probably hopeless attempt to get into someone's pants, or;

if they saw it written somewhere else and thought they'd become more popular if they said the same thing?

I know that most of us will be unlikely to meet the majority here but we're still a safer option than I've seen elsewhere. Perhaps because there's some potential lowering of undergarments etc - not much of that on mummyboard. I know it might appear harsh for some newcomers, most of us probably just raise our eyes when stuff goes off here.

Oh I forgot! There was a wedding planning forum I used to frequent that was beyond vicious!

Bridezillas, hundreds of them, all in one place! And then the "hangers on" who's got married but didn't want to leave but couldn't be arsed to try and start a short and unsuccessful career as a wedding planner/photographer but would lurk and bitch.

Possibly even scarier than mumsnet.

I'm not a fan of opinionated people. They're usually wrong about stuff and opinion based thinking is a problem.

I like people who either go on facts or are humble enough to say they don't know something.

I just came on this thread to say that. The wedding planning site forums are the reason I think this place is child's play when it comes to opinionated argument.
