I'm stressed
My car went to the banger in the sky and can't be fixed so I'm in the market for a new car.
I'm lucky and have a chunk of cash why am I being treated like a waste of space and joker because I don't want dealer finance?.
I've set my bar quite high what I want and almost got my dream car at a price I could afford only to be told another sales chap sold it back to the main dealer, I contacted them and was told to buy that exact car would cost me a further 3k unless I took out there finance and they would discount it for me.
I walked away as I can't afford an extra 3k.
Anyone give me suggestions how to buy the car at a price I can afford.
Ps it's a top end range car |

As I do it for a living everything they sell you earns them commission, but they can't charge you more for a cash purchase as that is illegal. Message me if you want as I don't charge anything for consultations lol |

My self work at a main dealers and as inside background that I shouldn't be saying. If a customer is signed up to finance there is more profit and commission for the sales man. A cash sale looses them potential of fixing people up to deals that really are Unaffordable and have loop holes where you end up going back to them as milage can be capped. Also they have finance targets to hit |

Take out their finance, take the discount they offer on the car, take delivery of car, pay finance off !
Everyone's happy
Make sure you can pay finance off in full anytime you wish though without penalty first.
I used to be a car dealer.

You looking at a brand new one? If so see if they have any ex demo ones coming up for sale. Be around six month old but will be slightly cheaper than unregistered one on forecourt |

"You putting a part ex in aswell I take it?.
Nope unless they want a 1 series with no
Working engine lol "
Surely it's cheaper to pay for a new engine for the 1 series than buying a new car? |

You'd be surprised at what they'd take. May on be 1k they offer but it's an extra 1k towards a upgrade. My ace has took guitars in before now. Which dealers you tried as in towns |

The car is currently in the garage who say all in would cost 6k which is more than it's worth they said it would be unfair on me |

Let me guess it's the 120 diesel and it's got less than 140k miles on the clock?
I know so many people who have owned one and the engines have all been shite. They don't make them like they used to |

Same thing happened to me tried to buy the car I just test drove with cash for 13k to be told I could have it for 6 weeks and that I needed to fill out a shed load of gap insurance fltms etc even though I was paying there and then, no finance etc. Walked out of the show room and desperate sales manager phoned up 1/2 hour later to see what the problem was!! Ended up buying from car people ... Very easy |

You can exercise your right to withdraw within 14 days of taking out the finance, they will charge you a small amount of interest. And you get the deal you want and the car you want. |

Excuse me????
You know nothing about me so don't judge me because I asked for advice!!.
Keep your mardy arse opinions to yourself or don't reply simple as that.
It maybe a swingers site however it's not all about sex people do offer fantastic advice at times, however being a typical single male on here you think otherwise. |

I've always bought my cars in cash at around the £7000 mark. After a pug that went seriously wrong.
I wanted all the safety nets of a brand new car and all the servicing, warranty etc. Never had any issues with paying in cash though and bought three like that |

"go at the end of a month when they have to hit targets there are good deals out there you just need to be hard faced"
The biggest myth ever! People walk into car showrooms on the last few days of the month expecting to get a great deal when the reality is that the sales people are too busy trying to get the cars they have already sold out the door and paid for! There is not enough time to get a sold unit delivered and paid for within the month when you walk in on the 29th or the 30th! |
