Take 5 minutes to look away from your phone or tv.
Look up you'll see the moon, look a little to the right and up you'll easily see Jupiter.
sat in our garden, telescope is out, hands are numb...it's worth it |

"Cloudy here, but I thought Jupiter was at the 10 O'clock position, i.e. up and to the left, not up and to the right?"
More like 2 o'clock. Had to come inside and warm up! |

Used to have a Tasco 6" reflector which an ex bought me for £300. I used to live out in the sticks and night viewing was amazing
Now I'm a city centre dweller and light pollution means it's not worthwhile anymore |

Mines only a cheap Nasty Argos special for £100. Just bought it to start out.
Have just managed to get an awesome...well awesome picture of Jupiter and its moons. Well awesome for holding my phone over the telescope lense! Rather impressed |

Have a few good pics as well. The last one was getting Jupiter, Saturn (with rings) & Mars all in one shot in 2005 |

I am lucky enough to live in an area where there isn't a lot of artificial light about at night (almost the middle of nowhere)...when the sky is clear it's an awesome natural sight....but tonight its a tad cloudy |
