Whilst verifications are used to, err verify that someone is genuine, they are also an appreciative message to the parties concerned. I dont have any thoughts on it particularly as the verifications are written for the people concerned and not for me  |

I don't think a graphic blow-by-blow account is really necessary ... a verification is supposed to be just that - something saying the person is genuine and everything they state they are.
I've read some veris that are sickeningly sycophantic and, quite frankly, I find them offputting. |

Nope, nothing puts us off, we take people at face value, we think we are reasonably intelligent and make our own minds up about people.
A veri is a veri - a few lines of text placed on a website by people we don't know and probaly will never know
so on a 'worthlessness' scale of 1 - 10, a veri struggles to reach 3 |

Personally, I find it off putting. If you meet for sex I get it, I don't need a blow by blow (pun intended) account of the meet. I also find 101 verifications from the same female off putting: talk about territory marking!  |

I do sometimes chuckle at the ones which sound more like they are placing an add to sell the person or a secondhand camper van.

I have to admit, although i seem to be in the minority on here, i actually like reading veris.
yes its a valid point that multiple veris from the same person is off putting.
And i like to think im intelligent enough to make up my own mind.
But when i get the initial message from someone, they do help me to make my mind up if i want to start chatting with that person with a _iew to a later meet!
And sometimes u can read around what is put in a veri.
I dont need a blow by blow account, but if its a glowing recommend then i would be more interested!
I guess im that shallow  |

Reading some people's verifications is like reading their own personal sex diary, every lick suck and splash is noted and written about...repeatedly.
I mean what's the deal with veri after veri by the same person for the same person?
Like a who's fucked who for those who check veri's regularly.
When I see a guy and girl or two couples who constantly verify each other every single meet, I read POSSESSIVE.
I don't like to see too sexually explicit veri's...
I prefer to make up my own mind, and when reading verifications innuendo is so much more sexy than a blow by blow-job account. |

I love the "ad" type ones, they do make me smile. I find ours really amusing. The not to be missed particularly makes me smile. Thats why I put our verifications on our profile, they make me and Chris smile, and fun is what its all about. I dont really expect other people to read them or study them in depth though, it should be enough to just look, think oh yeah they're verified and thats it move on.
Though the abundance of verifications on a guys profile from the same woman does make me smile too - I dont ever read the content, I dont need to, just seeing the name constantly popping up speaks volumes doesnt it |

i find it difficult though if someone leaves you a veri then i feel it would be rude not to show it but i'm not keen on the blow by blow ones yet have no control over wat is put
tough one
so i tend not to judge the person the veri is about as they have no control over wat is put |

They are all ok if they are genuine. However from what i have heard there are some who will verify anyone even if they haven,t seen, spoken or met them. I would rather see a genuine graphic one than some fake shit if i am honest. |

Im in two minds about them. I like to know the couple really exists, but I remember two instances that puts doubt in my mind... One was from a couple at a party saying how great the night was and how much fun the hosts were - the only trouble was that the first couple had stayed fully dressed in the kitchen and the hosts had a fight and kicked everyone out! The second was from a party we attended but had to leave early, we still had a verification saying how much fun we had been - but hubby hadnt even taken his clothes off and we had to leave before the buffet had even been eaten! I think quite a few people use it as the Fabs equivalent of friend count on Facebook! |
