Eating when stressed

on the road to nowhere in particular

After a tough day yesterday I was in dire need of some comfort food and was headed past a chip shop. As I got close a car pulled up and deliberately blocked two spaces. I took this as karma and carried on. All of a sudden I spied a kebab shop a little further along the road with plenty of space outside. The stressful urge to eat was becoming unbearable and I found myself compelled to pull over and go in. I had enough money on me for a greasy diner kebab and that is what I ordered with chilli sauce obviously. I took the first bite and regretted it but the urge to devour this elephants leg and salad had completely overwhelmed me. It was like a form of self harming, despising the situation and yet taking satisfaction from gorging on the evil food I held in both my hands. I could feel the onions and hot chilli sauce tearing at my insides as I forced each mouthful down. I can honestly say I only enjoyed one mouthful of the evil concoction, it was one of my last bites and the flavours on that single mouthful were most satisfying.

I suffered later, in the way that only someone who has ordered a kebab while truly sober can

understand.

I have paid my penance and am now in a state of enlightenment and on the way to achieving true nirvana.

May your chakras be aligned for a fulfilling weekend to one and all

Blimey the sacred kebab experience strikes again. I had a similar epiphany recently when I ate a bar of chocolate, drank some red wine then went to bed.

I too feel for you op. I scoffed a big fat choccy eclair whilst naked at 1.30am and I videoed it. The recipient of the video was delighted at my nawty gluttony.

Late night consuming truly is a force of darkness.

I wish you strength and positivity that only the sunlight that warms our very beings can bring

Yep eat and drink far too much when stressed. Chippy tea and now booze... No good for the diet though

Know exactly what you mean. I too comfort eat when stressed, although don't realise it at the time. Have given up booze for a bit, so at least that's a few calories saved

Doner is just evil. Even looks like toilet food.

Unless it's got lots of mayo and chilli sauce on it..

"Now I want a donor pizza! "

Surely it's possible to make your own 'healthy' donner meat, it's just squished lamb meat isn't it?

A doner is the dinner of darkness and dastardly deeds. Deny yourself it's dreadful intent to drag you down to the depths of Armageddon

Fortunately for me my stomach can't digest crap food like doner kebabs and kfc. I have salad with pitta if anyone gets kebabs. I can sit in McDonalds with a bottle of water while the kids eat their Mc Crappy meals.
