"I have no clue but I know seven hours isn't enough for me.
I'm like a grumpy zombie. "
As an insomniac, as much as I can grab. Whatever I got last night wasn't enough as I feel like death warmed up. |

Me personally eight is great. You can get by with less if it's regular uninterrupted sleep and some survive on very little and are fine. God knows how they do it |

I've been in a weird pattern lately. I've been having a hard time sleeping but I just lay half awake half asleep for ages.
I've been making my way through plenty of books, though. Marc passes out and I lay awake reading.
I think 7-8 hours a night would make me happy |

for adults between the ages of 25-64 apparently 7-9 hours is what's recommended....but obviously everyone is different and some need more whilst others need a lot less...

"I've been having about six hours per night on average for the past few months, and it sucks. Lord knows how I'm going to deal with having kids, haha"
With our first born we did a shift system. I'm a night owl, she's an early riser.
I'd do 8pm-6am, she'd do 6/7pm-2pm and then we'd share the afternoons.
It was a bit odd, like shift work, at first but everyone got time alone, at rest and together. It worked. |

I don't sleep well at night. I wake up several times because of pain, also needing a wee !
Sometimes i find it hard to go back to sleep so i read for a bit. I always feel tired.
At the moment cus i'm recovering from an operation i do sleep during the day which is lovely
I'm lucky if i get 3 hours uninterupted sleep although altogether i probably get 6 to 7 hours but that's interupted sleep. |

For years I managed on 5 or 6 hours. I would fall asleep the second my head hit the pillow. Now I wake up every night and get up feeling groggy. Every now and then, after a previously busy day,I go back to bed and sleep from 10 am until 2 pm,because I can't stay awake. I'd love a whole week of un-interrupted sleep. |

I'm guessing you mean she did 6/7AM.
It sounds like it would work well if you don't have twins that wake hourly... for a year or two... |

I'm very lucky. If I'm in my own bed I sleep soundly. No problems dropping off and sleep for about 6-9 hours depending on the time I go up.
Mrs P however is vert restless and needs to nap after work to catch up. |

"Always aim for 8 minimum. Have been having up to 10 lately and feel great because of it.
10hrs? over 8 and I feel terrible."
I simply love Sleeping. Have put a lot of effort into creating the perfect sleep. Well ventilated room huge bed and different duvets for the time of the year. Also have a topper and memory foam pillow along with pitch black room.
I operate better well rested.

"Anyone have something in particular that keeps them awake? "
My son. He's been poorly since he was born. 3hr of good sleep is the norm for me. 5hrs a God send... Anything over 7hrs and I feel like I've been drugged.... |

Last years when I was dealing with my first crohns flare up, the fatigue that comes with it is ridiculous.
Easily do 16 hours sleep and feel no better for it. Just fall asleep out cold for hours at a time where ever I happened to be sitting or laying down. |

About 5 hours maximum is all I need.
And if I go to bed early, I just wake up early.
I can manage for quite extended periods on 3-4 hours; but if I do that, 2 or 3 catnaps of 20 minutes during the day tops it up.

"I need at least 10. 12 is preferable. On weekends it's not odd for me to sleep for 14 hours "
Oh yes!
We got into the habit of staying in bed till the afternoon, easily done.
Felt we were just wasting the days away by not doing anything with them |
