Butter and maple syrup, with a sprinkle of ground toasted sesame seeds is probably my favourite.
However, I shall try them with cream of limocello liqueur as I believe that would work well.  |

Oooooooh you poor british people, you have never tasted REAL pancakes. 
Milk, eggs and flour is soooo bland and boring. If anyone is brave enough to try the real thing, pm me for the recipe! ( It is the secret ingredient that makes the difference ! )
To answer the OP's question : lemon juice, maple syrup and squirty cream.

Shrove Tuesday is Fat Tuesday. Mardi Gras is also celebrated at this time. Giant parties, parades, and costume balls .
A day of excessive indulgences and consuming everything that is potentially bad for you. Over eating, drinking, dancing and carrying on until all hours of the night are all indulgences of the flesh that are all common at Mardi Gras.
Where Are the Celebrations?The two best known places for the celebration of Shrove Tuesday in the secular sense are New Orleans and Rio de Janeiro. On Mardi Gras in New Orleans almost anything goes. There is public nudity in the streets of the French Quarter and the streets and bars are filled with parties galore.
