dose any 1 no what are these nuisance calls are;

just got another one on the mobile an I can't call back to it due to being a no number listed?

Double glazing, loan, phone companies etc have automatic dialing systems and bug you.

Someone could have come across your number and witheld theirs to call you.

Someone could be calling from a company that witholds its number.

Someone could just be winding you up (and winning it appears).

There could be any number of reasons...you'll drive yourself loopy if you let insignificant things bug you!

Nothing you can do...as you don't know who's calling you.

Register your number with the TPS, telephone preference service. This will stop unsolicited marketing calls.

i no of them did that with my land line but did not no they do it with mobiles

Yeah you can do it with mobiles too for calls. Not for text spam though.

yes they can do it for mobiles aswell as has been said

however a lot of these marketing calls are now being outsourced to Asia, so the call originates form that country, TPs does not protect against those calls

Doesn't work for "market research" calls

Also, calls originating from abroad, as already said, will still happen.
