Blokes : curvy, ample or average!?

Jump to: Newest in thread

NOT a BBW thread - but more about the fellas!

Where are the transition points between curvy, ample, fabulous and average on the body type options for men?

I'd say a Dad bod with moobs and a belly is fat (but there isn't an option for 'fat') - how would you describe that and where / when is the transition between descriptions?

Not intended to be a divisive sizeist debate (honest!!) just settling a discussion with a friend ..

Thank you

I think if you have moobs and a Winnie the Pooh tummy you are classed as " fabulous

Curvy I would say is more a chunky build

Others will prob disagree as we all have our own ideas about size

We already had this discussion Dan, you are average build. Barely a moob or belly in sight. You have to take my word for it!!!! Good to see you took my threat...oppps advice and changed to average. Much more appropriate to your body size.

Pfft! See now I'm uncomfortable about false advertising. I still think 'curvy' is more accurate and I'm a couple of gym months away from average. But your 'threat' (as that's what it was! ) has been (for the time being!) noted ..

Anyway .. this isn't all about me - what do others think generically?? When does average start and fat stop!? How long is a piece of string?

Stand up straight, shoulders back, now look down.

If you can't see your belly: you're slim

If you can see you belly, feet and todger: you're average.

If you can't see your feet: you're ample

If can't see your todger, even when erect: step away from the biscuit-barrel, tubster

(Men can't be curvy, we don't have 'hips' in the same way women do, surely)

Mr ddc

Ps I actually use this to decide when it's time for me to diet!

Personally, I think average covers most things. Although personally I don't really want to be considered as average in any way, I believe that just by taking part in the swinging lifestyle you become so much more than average.

I got told off for saying I was athletic on another thread. I'm supposed to be average. If I look down, all I can see is tops of toes, and chest. (No moobs... chest is solid muscle)

I do have incredibly small feet though. It might not work if you're one of those clownish, canoe-shoe people

I do similar with my boobs. If I can see my belly past my boobs when I look down then I stop buying ice cream

If your thighs squash your nuts it's time to get on a diet.

Seriously though, the body descriptors on here shouldn't be taken as gospel as they are open to interpretation.

I would say we (as a society) as obsessed with appearance. If you tickle my mind I really do t care whether you're attached to a Dad bod or a six pack.

I agree with the above (it's Mr. here), we both had this conversation ages ago. I think I had fabulous from the options, lol. I've stuck it in the profile though, built like a small rugby player, because there wasn't an option for chunky, stocky bloke

Ha I like a big girl but her chest has to come out farther than her tummy. Not in anyway saying you're big btw

Men should never describe themselves as curvy its just not a manly body shape

Just my opinion of course
