To be honest, and all jokes aside, I think if I were a villa fan I would have rather been relegated at the weekend, than drag it out another week, and even then they could be in for another week of it all.
I was sure that I would be delighted to see villa go down, but I'm not, I'm not saying I'm unhappy about it, but I feel surprisingly indifferent about it.
Shame they can't pull off a great escape like the mighty west brim did though lol |

7/8 years ago I'd have been delighted to see the demise of Aston villa, but now I feel quite sad at how the club is being run. Having been through it all as a poor Coventry fan (no top 6 finish for 46 YEARS) with terrible ownership, if they don't sort it soon they could end up the same as us!
All rivalry aside I hope they get the club back on an even keel, but I wouldn't mind a couple of local derbies in between to make it interesting again! |

I am a a Villa fan and I can't believe the indifference I feel myself that we are going down.
In part because I accepted relegation a while ago. It's been coming for a long time, our club has been run badly with alot of bad decisions. |

Season ticket holder and go home and away.
Been relegated before and the season we came back up was brilliant with Bournemouth and swindon away being never forgotten by those who went.
It's my club through thick and thin so not that bothered if we clear the deadwood and get players in who'll fight for the club
A lot of the biggest moaners about relegation don't go to any games anyway as they spend all of Saturday on Facebook and fan forums complaining when they should be at the games

I am a life long Villa fan who used to stand in the Holte End in the 70s and 80s. Remember some great times and yes it is sad but I resigned myself to it a while ago. We will be back! H (mrs) |

Left or right side ?
I was always the left side and loved the banter with the right side |

"I used to stand behind the goal at the front as I'm quite short so needed a good view lol. Haven't been for a couple of seasons now."
I have and trust me you haven't missed much apart from the brilliant run to the very very disappointing cup final(dam good d*unken day out though) |

Villas trophy room got burgled the other day. The bastards cleared the room out. Police are looking for someone carrying a claret and blue carpet on their shoulder... |

Sadly it seems to have been a long time coming. The past few seasons has only got worse.
I am glad the board has been revamped with some decent new additions. Really do feel they would benefit from getting a manager in before end of season to assess the squad. Unless of course they are waiting to see who becomes available during the summer?
It's hard to believe they are going down. Even if they were to bounce back, which seems unlikely based on other clubs going down, the risk of 'yo-yo'ing between two leagues seems high. Hard to take |

"Who is available? Who would want to go there? Careful what you wish for, you might end up with Moyes or McLaren.
"
I honestly don't know. Talks of Pearson?
McLaren should be a big no |

Best not to wait to see who's available. I think your choices will be limited. Should make a decision and let them build for the future. No manager can lead a team without his own input. Inheriting a team is not the way forward. |

"DTV surely
It's a shame really what the club is going through at the moment. There seems to be no direction on or off the field.
They are better than that "
Hopefully the changes to the board will bring direction to the club. They didn't even have the decency to accumulate fewer points than Derby in 2008. Never mind the decency to go down last week. Oh well, lot's of derbies next season. Then League One! |
