Due to a terrorist attack or some sort of disaster, hacking etc..

Zombie apocalypse.

How could /would we communicate over distance.

All mobile services down, no Internet or phone connection.

Has anyone got a contingency plan in place?

I live on top of a hill in Staffordshire and can see Snowdonia from my house on a clear day. I could send smoke signals to Taff

In such events the only people I would need to contact all live within a one hour radius(walking)

To be honest they are all that matter to me.
