Fab ages compared to real age!

Anyone else noticed when meeting someone that their Fab age is obviously very different to their real age.
I've no issue if its say 5 years difference but some people seem to think nothing of taking 10-15 years off their age. Plus they've used old photos on their profile too.
Is it just me that finds this really annoying and misleading. I might start asking for birth certs as a filter. *
*that is tongue in cheek, but I'm finding its happening more and more here! |

Our ages are REAL. The same as everything on our profile. Our photos are all within the last 3 months.
If a profile lies about their age why should we trust them on their boundaries? |

5 years either side in your 30's is one thing but 5 years plus in your late 40's in another.
I can see why people want to keep under say the 50/55 bracket re the age filters but I really don't see the point in using old photos, as it's going to be pretty obvious in reality..... |

My age is real - it never occurred to me to lie and my pictures are all recent. However, I do know a female on here claiming to be 49, when she is actually a good 15 years older and looks it!!!
Anybody fancy an older woman? I'm open to offers lol xxx |

"We recently had a social meet with a guy who must have used an ancient pic and knocked about 20 years off his age. Downed our drinks very quickly and scarpered. "
Did you tell him the reason why? Really can't understand why couples especially would do this. It's not as though arranging meets are hard to do. We are both 'old' and have the age related bumps and dinks but get daily requests to meet up. Obviously other life priorities prevent this plus we don't want to be 'tarts'. Two or three more regular meets over the one nighters is more our style.
If folk looking at ours assume we've knocked 10 years off our profile they will hopefully be pleasantly surprised if they meet us as MrsJ often is thought to be much younger than her 49 years. I am a bit more 'weathered' |

Age rarely lies on the face, there are some I have questioned when I've bumped into people at parties or whatever. Doesn't annoy me really, just view it as a bit sad if people clearly lie about their age |

Mine is right....but I'm getting close to that "50" cut off point.....guess I'll just have to suck it up when it arrives.
I'd rather get a "no thanks" or be blocked from messaging on here because of my age. Better than turning up for a meet and someone doing a runner! |

My age is my age. I have met people that look older than they say (and some younger) I blame it on difficult (easy) paper rounds when they were young.
Does it bother me? No why should it? Usually, I have spoken to the person, seen pictures. I am mentally and physically attracted to them, hence the meeting. Why would age then matter? |

I can see the point of people lying about their age if they aren't meeting, to get round age filters to perv pics etc, still dishonest and wrong imho. But what the hell is the point before a meet? All you do is increase the chances of the meet you have worked so hard to arrange going badly! Daft if you ask me. |

What if the pictures you had been sent were old? That the person in the pic you were attracted to had aged significantly and was no longer what you desired. Would that matter? |

I guess because I do a social first it's not an issue. You can usually tell when pictures are older and if we meet at a cafe or bar I am going to tap the wrong person on the shoulder
I think most people that do a social first don't lie about their age by a significant amount. |

I'm 50 this year and actually proud of the way I look, if someone has a problem with my age I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.
People lie about much worse on here but people using pics from the previous decade on their profile, is a bit misleading |

A couple of years either way wouldn't bother me but if they had been sending pics relating to their 'fab' age and they looked a lot older and a lot different upon meeting, I'd be more than a bit miffed!!

I'm funny about ages. I use my real age & have a strict upper limit of 50 as my parents are young (still
In their 50's). I really can't see the point in lying & if someone is I'd prefer to find out before meeting. |

There's probably a mathematical formula that can be used to calculate ages.
Something like
Age equals (Fab Age) x (no of failed relationships plus cock size of self or partner divided by number of fab profiles user has created)
Someone will have to do the research and pull the maths together |

It's just embarrassing when someone has blatantly knocked years off their age and used old photos. I wouldn't buy a car that was advertised as two years old with a photo showing that and when I went to view it a 15 year old banger with rust patches was sat in the drive. |

We display our true ages. Why wouldn't everyone else? We accept that some number crunching goes on but it's pointless, unless of course the cruncher of numbers has no intention of actually meeting anyone, in which case they can be any age they wish. Can't they? |

I'm 40. It says 40. I was so badly tempted to stay 39 for a couple of years but I'm being honest.
I have seen profiles where they guy has two face pics, young in one and maybe ten+ years older in the next! That's really off putting to be honest.
My pics are over a year old now but I'm no bigger or smaller and I don't think I've acquired that many wrinkles on my body? I do need to do some new ones. But it's finding the time to do them.
I try and be honest though. I sent a guy a face photo that was taken minutes before, so he could check I hadn't aged 50 years in 12 months. |

I've met more men that lie about their age on here than women. I really ought to have lied about mine; I reckon I could have got away with it and already fall foul of the 35 year limit set by 30 year olds (why is it always 5 years increments?) and am about to hit another one at 40. I do delight in responding to messages from people who state on their profiles they are only looking for people younger than with a 'sorry, I am too old to message you back apparently'. The resulting confusion is a joy to behold. Or I get a 'for you we'd make an exception' response. As if I should be grateful. |

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
I lie about my age on my profile... for about 6 weeks each year. I'm not yet 51.
I had someone communicating with me who knocked 12 years off his age as he said he felt 12 years younger. When I asked for an up to date picture he refused to send one. He felt 12 years younger so he used a picture that was 12 years younger too.

If you're into people younger than you and a meet turns up who has claimed to be younger but in the flesh is near enough 10 years older than you are (and wearing dentures), it's more than a little annoying especially when you had the opportunity to meet someone else. a quandary, could you change my mind? |
"If the ages is any different..
It doesn't matter as long as there is a connection.
Its not the difference in age, Its the lying that puts people off"
I understand the point of view about lies!
But age is a number, it does depend on how the truth is miss shaped. I'd see a picture before I have a social if I don't like what I see then it would go no further...
As we all know some people age well, some do not, some photograph well some do not.
I always come clean about my age before a social, next year I'm 21 again apparently |

It may just be my bad picking process but mine experience has been a few guys in their late 50's who put 45 and use an old photo.
Although I've once had a younger guy add years, as he thought i'd not meet someone that young. He was right, but having met we got on great, so that time it had a good result. I just prefer honesty with recent face pics.

A lot of the men I have met have given the wrong age. It's been mainly older men pretending to be younger with a couple of younger pretending to be older. A couple of years isn't an issue or if the pics are recent. Meeting someone who has used pics from his 30s when he is mid 50s is a bit of a shock. |

i'm still going to be 29 for a few months, but so many profiles I See say 30+ ... so sometimes i think I should up my age 1yr just so i'm eligible to a whole cohort of women..... |

"i really dont understand why people feel the need to lie about their age "
Because they feel that they've more chance of meeting if they lie about their age |

met someone off here on my old profile it said they was 38 on their profile but they told me they was 43...didn't bother me at all
my age is real but I still got the body of an 18 year old, she's buried in my back yard |

For me chronological mendacity is pointless
the only truth that matters is that I am Olde.
My face now resembles a sun bleached dried prune -
At least that's what I keep getting told.
My age spots are spreading and joining together
to give the look of a bumpy overall tan,
And along with my ball sack whilst sat on the bog seat,
My sex life has been flushed down the pan
They say if you don't use it you lose it
So I guess as time flies, tick tock, tick tock
That very soon while I am sat on that bog seat
I'll almost inevitably be waving goodbye to my cock

"It absolutely never occurred to me to lie about my age. I'm enjoying my naughty forties and bottoms to the world. 41 and perfectly happy with that. Which is handy as I can neither control time nor have a portrait in the attic like Dorian Gray. "
Enjoyed reading that!
People will always try to control time... constantly looking for ways to roll back the years or look forward to the future. I prefer to focus on the present and enjoy the things I can have a say in.
As mentioned by a few people, some will try to overcome the age filters and use their old pics going back years! Waste of time if meets are cut short. Brilliant if they pull it off and especially if they get lucky
Honesty is the best policy. Will save you from any potential embarassing situations
My Fab age and real age is the same, but depending on my 'look/style' people often say I look younger. The age bracket I get put into the most is 25-30. |
