"travel expenses"

had a few people on here, that after i've turned them down, offer to pay me "any travel expenses" for me to go meet them. these are all people living locally so travel expenses were hardly an issue. Basically feels like im being offered money for sex, treated like a whore.

Am i over-reacting? is this common?

We wouldn't insult someone in such a way. However we would be happy to travel or pay for local accommodation if they can't accommodate if we liked someone

Not overreacting...merely advertising how 'popular' you are by stating that people are so desperate to meet you. Hmm...am I being cynical again?

Not as cynical as me as I thought the OP had woken up from a nap and dreamed it all. Single guys can't give it away allegedly but people are throwing wonga at the OP during these austere times!

Yeah! Right!

Ooof - you said what I had thought.

But then I read the OP again, and he doesn't mention that it's women he's turning away so I figured it must be some unwanted male attention that he's been getting.
