Heard this on kerrang radio about a month ago while driving a different vehicle to the one i normally drive. Thought it was fantastic. Alas my vehicle has no aerial, due to being snapped off, so haven't listened to much music of late....it still picks up heart, but like i said haven't listened to much music |

I saw them on a US talk show amd was expecting the usual 'oooh-aahaha, daydadum dududum' bullshit and was quite suprised by that cover. I can't stand Disturbed, David Draiman is a massive prick. |

Have to agree...I think it's amazing, he's got an incredible voice...and if you watch the video, dark brooding and sexy as sin... Tell me you wouldn't ladies? I know I would lol |

"Didn't think i'd ever hear a version of 'Sound of Silence' that could beat the original but this...... is so powerful.
The lyrics mean so much more ...... "
Beautiful isn't it! I never liked the original but this gives me chills. |

I heard it on radio 2 this morning, fantastically well written, amongst evangelical in its flow... err yes it's good, is it better than the original..no I'd probably stick with Simon and Garfunkel.
It's quite trendy to cover classic tracks and slow them down out speed them up but I think I can only remember the one I think that pulled it off and that was the guy who covered the tears for fears track, mad world |

I often like re-interpretations of songs. Things like Tori Amos - losing my religion, that Mad World stripped back version, Dweezil Zappa - Hit Me (Baby one more time), Richard Thompson - I did it again, Hendrix - Watch Tower etc.
But this one does very little for me. It feels overdone and forced. I imagine it being the kind of cover version that David Brent would do |
