Can anyone help me to get rid of this annoyance on my tablet. I keep getting directed to a web page called tradeadexchange and then on to others suggesting that I have a virus or my battery is damaged and other spurious claims. McAfee or malawarebytes do nothing. Has anyone else managed to deal with this?

It's more tab likely associated with an app you've installed .

Review what and when you installed, and work backwards deleting them.

I use an app called clean master which enables you to manage junk data files and apps easily

Clean master or adblocker should do the trick. Check the last apps you installed as well.
