Right I was going to leave but have decided to just hide profile and hope I can resist the eurge to come back on

If you think you're gunna come back then just hide your profile and block the website from whatever devices you usually use.

If you don't want to ever come back then delete it and block.

I have zero self control. When I want a 'real' break I'll just delete and disappear. It's not like it matters.

We've never felt the need to delete, yet anyway to avoid temptation.

We often hide our profile or just disappear for weeks / months at a time or until we feel like coming back. Once we decide we've had enough, it's easy to stay away.

I'm sure one day, we will just decide not to come back. When that happens, we'll log on, delete and slip off unnoticed.

Now I just hide profile .. It really makes no odds unless you have verifications you want to keep

What you have to do to delete your profile (and therefore attempt to make a break), is not worry about the whole verification thing, once you can let go of the "but if I come back, I will have to start again" thing, the temptation to return is easier to deal with (maybe thats just a single guy thing).

Fab takes up your time, if you don't replace that activity with something else, you will return (probably), find something else that intrigues/excites and gives you pleasure and fab is in your past.

If you have someone you trust enough - they could change your password to one you don't know. Then you can't log in.

Or delete - as a single lady it's easier because you'll still get lots of attention when you return - whether you disappear for a week or months.

Only you can decide what's best for you.

Feel like we need a break from it and I have a lot going on in normal life! But sometimes its a great distraction from normality, I don't think I want to leave forever but was worried if I only hide it will be more tempting to pop back on!

Everyone has reasons for both being here and deciding to leave.

I left a few weeks ago because I started getting abusive messages. I've left in the past because I questioned why I was here.

Asking others if you should leave is never a good idea I think. It doesn't really matter what others think about you leaving OR coming back.

I hid my profile a while ago, I found as long as I had something else to do I didn't log on. After a while I didn't notice fab..

This is exactly what I think too. Everyone will have an opinion on why you have left or why you have returned, if you do, but you are the only one who really knows so do what's right for you and to hell with everyone else.

I will never leave this site*, but when I have had enough of the site I hide my profile, filter all messages, turn off my pics, and change my password to a random generated one that I copy and paste over then forget.

When I want to come back I click 'forgot my password', set up a new one, and off I go.

Thanks everyone, I guess I was trying to get opinions on whether others that hide their profile rather than leaving still find it to hard to stay away. I don't want to leave completely yet but wasn't sure if just hiding would be too tempting!

I don't think I will be gone forever but wanted a proper break to see how I then feel.

I am going to hide my profile and if I can't resist I will then leave.

I thought I had deleted until months later I just clicked on a link for Fab on my phone and it automatically took me to my profile (minus all photos) but still photo verified

Just go into hiding. Don't log on and don't read the forum by looking at the site without logging on. Cold turkey is best, in my experience, as the addiction bit is seeing how a thread turns out/seeing who has answered your question.

When you're ready to come back let us know and we'll all gather at VA for a celebration.

If it's a break from it all then just hide your account ( in case you want to come back ) log out, remove fab swingers from your history and search bar ect, and then get on with real life!

True but he went cold turkey & deleted.

It's all down to your own reasoning as to why you want a break. If it's more than just being bored & your will power is lacking then I would say deleting is the way forward.
