I too am in my bath... Mine doesn't have a telly but it is on a desert island.
I think the year I lived there was one of the worst of my life but I've come back round to it recently.

Yeah, not so funky.
The Empire and Commonwealth museum's top floor is dedicated to an exhibition about Bristol's large part in the Caribbean sugar-guns-slave triangle.
Sadly the bot about Wilberforce and the Abolitionists, the Royal Navy's suppression of the trade and the decision to buy out the slavers of Brazil is relegated to the back of a pillar.

Harbourside is good for bars and restaurants, Cabot Circus for shopping and the Balloon Fiesta is great to visit in August.
I like the airport -but it's pretty far out from the city centre which you don't expect when you first use it !
It's a city I like visiting.

Liking all the positive comments about Bristol, it's my home city, though I haven't moved too far away.
Bath is lovely a place to visit, but do find it quite beige and prefer the vibrancy of Bristol |

From where you are, just walk down from the Glass Boat until you reach Three Brothers Burgers (also a boat). Turn right to go along King Street, past the Old Vic etc until you come to the end of the road and you will see the harbour in front of you. |

I wonder if you're in the same hotel I went to in Bristol. That had a tiny ickle telly in the bathroom. I don't take baths and wanted one in the shower. |

It was the nicest hotel I stayed at when I was working there last year. They made the cocktails just right.

I've got to Brizzol fairly frequently but, fair point, the Empire museum trip was 8 years ago, now I think of it, when I was supporting my mate at a Crown Court hearing. |

"Any suggestions for a good breakfast place?"
Theres a few nice little places I'd recommend but depending on where you'll actually be..
Nice little cyclist cafe on nelson St just off the centre does a good brekkie but really theres loads of quite places to choose from.
The buttery on the dockside down by the m-shed does a famously superb bacon sandwich. |
