5 bottles of the rather excellent Imperial collection gold vodka, @ £20 a pop would be money well spent, £36 on Amazon and £30 in Moscow shops. So Aldi is the best and cheapest source.  |

Have you read up on where Aldi source their products they can offer products cheaply because they pay less in advertising, less in shop refrubs and they use own brand products as well as locally sourced products. I would love to shop at waitrose but i don't have the budget to do so...not everything that is cheap is unethical. |

I do understand where you are coming from in terms of ethical choices, but even having a fair trade stamp does not mean that 100% of that product is fair trade. There was a big thing with Cadbury's and coffee producers in regards to that. A lot of people don't look at the ethics in things you only have to look at primark and while I would love to be 100% ethically minded when buying stuff I can't be because I simply can't afford to be. |

I enjoy shopping and like to buy good quality food .
The presentation in Aldi or Lidi has never really appealed to me and one doing a like for like comparison I could find little evidence that they were much cheaper in any event .
I like bright stores with plenty of space and helpful staff . |

I know you are not chastising me, I'm just putting my side across I guess. It is about informed choices and it's also understanding where the products are coming from and making the decision from that whether to buy it or not. It's great you have the budget to do so...like I said I wish I did. |

I think it's unfair the choice has been removed from a lot of households, however I think that's due to lack of information (amongst general pop. not you). Aldi and Lidl are becoming high street heroes so there's no pressure to source products responsibly. |
