I've been thinking today about a comment in a thread from a lovely young lady who was dreading turning 30. I do understand but if I could turn back the clock and choose to be a certain age, I would chose 35. I was so fit and healthy, between husbands and generally very happy. What age would you chose to be if this magic were possible?

I miss being really young, between 7-10. There's a lot to be said for being carefree and having parents to handle all of life's problems.

I'd just like to go back to a time when my mother was still alive. Other than that I'm pretty happy right now.

I'm 41 tomorrow

I want to have a good time in my 40's as well!

Probably be 15. I liked just having no responsibilities, not having to worry about my future, just drinking playing vidya with my mates

Now. I've never been happier in myself than I am right now. To be young and enjoy those innocent times would be nice. To go back to a time before a lot of shit hit the fan would also be nice. But right now in my life I feel the happiest I've ever been. I don't think I'd want to swap that.

I'd love to go back to the innocence of my childhood. Before all the crap of adult life kicked in!! Oh, and the bullies of high school before that!!

I dreaded turning 30 for some reason but I was quite happy to turn 40 and 50...

I am very happy right now and would not change anything

I would love be 10 again, ageing goes to fast in my opinion but only if I knew my life as it is now though.

CONISTON .Stoke Suburbia. THE MOORLANDS. BARMOUTH.

The age I am now actually is the best, respected by the elder generation. Still able to connect with the younger generation.

Some really lovely replies, thank you everyone. I have to say I'm not unhappy now even though I'm tickling 60. There's still adventures to be had :D

Chams or Socials

I think I am the happiest I've ever been - I'll be 40 in 3 weeks. The last year has been amazing after 3 that were dreadful.

I have 2 great kids who never fail to amaze me & make me proud. I've got a new job I love & keep a roof over our head. And a brilliant FB. Couldn't hope for more

It's almost impossible for me to choose an age. Aside from the fact I'm still quite young, and therefore have less time to choose from, every part of life has had its downsides.

As a child, I didn't have much freedom. Adolescence sucked because I was a bit of an outcast. Uni years were fun, but I was in a lustless, frustrating relationship for all of it. Now is pretty good, but I'm quite broke and under more pressure than ever.

Haha, I sound like a grumpy old git! Maybe I should just rewind back to birth? XD

There's bits and pieces from all parts I can look back and go yeah, that was good, there's some shitty bits too. But, I love now. I'm more comfortable now, even though I'm not as fit as I once was, I'm a bit more relaxed about having my clothes off. I can mouth the words I'm Bi and I like cock and pussy - something I couldn't bring myself to do, in earlier life. I have a pretty hum drum life (to some), but I wake up and there's people who love me. I'm lucky for every day I have to experience something, some people never get the chance...and are taken to young.

So yeah, it's now. I can look back at the things I've done so far, and hopefully look forward to new things also. Turning 40 wasn't so bad

You don't sound grumpy at all, this is how we learn isn't it? x

From 1 to 18. I was adopted and my mum and dad had a farm near Winchester. I had a wonderful childhood. I could milk a cow by my 5th birthday ! Mums bread pudding , dad taking me to the market asking me what animals he should buy. Sunny carefree days. When I drive by our old farm I always pull over and look over the fields , it always makes me smile so much.

so near and yet so far....

I had an epiphany when I was 37...I found out about the darker sides of life, 40 and 50 didn't bother me
