"Not as many as I have had for a potential meet
One. I've never been to an interview and not been offered the job. However, I've not been for an interview in 14 years. "
You must like your job, or won't they let you leave? |

"Varies. Do you include competency and aptitude tests as part of the interview process??
Yes xx"
In which case I've seen engineering graduate development programmes which have the following
1. Complete an online job application and questionnaire outlining who you are, qualifications and why you'd be suited to the job and company.
2. If successful then you're sent online aptitude tests (numerical and verbal reasoning).
3. If you pass the next stage is a telephone interview.
4. If successful next stage is an assessment day at the company (Interview and further aptitude testing).
5. After all that the final stage would be an actual job Interview.

I think it's a similar process for air traffic control positions. |

Probably the most intensive interview process I have ever gone through was an RCB (regular commissions board [failed]) back in the 70's.
1. Application form and school references.
2. Interview with Recruiting Sargent.
3. Interview with Recruiting Officer
4. Medical
5. 3 day RCB familiarisation where I was under constant scrutiny (even eating).
Day 1. Current affairs examination and supervised debate.
Day 2. Physical fitness tests, leadership and problem solving tests.
Day 3. Multiple interviews, questioning about family background and political views.
After passing all that...
6. 10 weeks of basic training.
7. 3 Days of RCB (as above)
Told I had failed because of my atitude by Board President when he was saying goodbye to me at the end of the third day! LoL |
