Not sex related and not entirely sure I should be asking on a site like this!!
I restart cookery club for autistic children again in May and I need some ideas what to make, we've made the usual fairy cakes and such, we have about an hour and a quarter to make something and has to be easy and not to expensive. I know there are quite a few bakers here, any ideas would be gratefully received!!

Then fruit salads would be easy. Basic tomato and basil pasta sauces too, or a cheese sauce with a properly made roux. Coleslaw would be easy to make. |

Perhaps look up "food technology recipes" or home tech recipes for what schools have on their curriculum? May be better than my suggestions and sorted by age appropriate ideas. |

Oh, snail buns from pre made pastry sheets are ace! Mrs Vandixxx does them with mince meat at Christmas as an alternative to mince pies. They work with almost any filling though, specially sausage meat!!

Time is not on your side, unless you get a lesson the next day as well any yeast style baking is not viable.
Pastry is nice and messy, and simple things like jam tarts can bake in about 20 minutes. more complex pies you can possibly do with pre cooked filling, but time is tight.
Fish pie is good with mashed potato, and fish in a sauce can be pretty cheap. and quite healthy too. |

See this is the reason I like it here, we used to have someone to help us with all the food related stuff but he left us, so it's been left down to us to sort and want to make sure it's perfect. Thank you, I'll look into it xx |
