As much as I love Celtic I really want Rangers to come back to challenge. Celtic were forced to sell their best players because of the lack of competition. Ronny Delia has to be sacked soon though I don't even enjoy watching them anymore. They should start fresh next season. Restart with a whole new scheme and new faces |

"Promoted back to the top tier where we belong. The same evening Celtic draw 0-0 with Dundee who we beat 4-0 earlier this season. #RonnieMustStay" Yep Rangers Fc made Dundee look like a championship side.Harry scoring in 10 seconds and it could easily have been 6-7 nil |

Here here totally agree I'm a rangers fan and as much as everyone says rangers are shite etc every Scottish club in the primership need big clubs like rangers and Celtic to bring in the revenue. I wish Celtic all the best for future play. But we should stand as a nation and no matter what club gets promoted we should praise them. No club should ever go through what rangers did. Congrats to every single player and management for getting us back... |

The Scottish Premiership needs competition!! I would actually love to see Rangers changelling Celtic next year but I don't see it happening immediately. The quality of Celtic atm is awful so it has to change. #jimmcguinnesforceltic |

"Promoted.. to the Scottish premier league.
Will this help improve / be Good for Scottish football.?
No its terrible! Whilst it might be a new club it is still supported by the vilest of the vile in Scotland. Different shit same flies tiochfaidh ár lá I hope they are relegated immediately and put back intothe dark ages where they belong
Im well aware of the translation of tiochfaidh ár lá and the context of it. Its sectarian hatred and a slogan used by the IRA to mean killl the enemy. That enemy being the british. Vilest of the vile about a group of people could be construed as zenophobic. What you say is certainly in the context of law illegal.
That said and done well done the mighty Rangers Fc the most successful club in the world and the best club in Scotland.
You need to brush up on your Gaelic as your translation is completely wrong. It means our day will come. i speak a little irish thanks. its an IRA slogan and i know its context. Please unfurl a banner at Hampden stating that and ill lmao when you get arrested for doing so.
Why would I wish to unfurl a banner at Hampden ? Neither Celtic nor Rangers play there. "
And if you knew the translation why did you say it meant kill the enemy , were you being deliberately provocative ? |

Ohh god, hubby loves his football and makes me watch some in return for some shoes, Im supposed to be flying up to watch rangers v Celtic with him next week in hospitality with his supplies, shoot me now, we even have to fly up the night before, as it starts at some stupid time in the morning to stop the locals getting d*unk and fighting
I remember that last Rangers/Celtic game, he dragged me round 11 pubs (no pub was showing the game as zero interest in London) he eventually bribed 10 people in one bar with free drink if they would change channel, and ohh my, no one in bar had ever seen any of these players before, and lots of pub team comments - it was truly dire
The only thing that brightened things up was the the songs about fucking the queen and the pope (some regulars asked if this was the 1980's repeat game)
Can't wait |

Technically it isn't as the old club were wound up and went out of existence.
This is a new club.
Says who. You?"
No , as much as I think I have, I don't have that much power.
They were wound up in the Scottish courts for various things including not being able to pay their taxes or debts.
They were declared bankrupt and therefore ceased to operate in that guise. |

Pacific Shelf 595, Sevco.... Bollox... Rangers are Rangers just as Celtic are Celtic! Get on with it.
11 players on the park playing football with thousands of clearly passionate and sometimes misguided fans.
Roll on next season when Rangers are back where they belong. |

"Ohh god, hubby loves his football and makes me watch some in return for some shoes, Im supposed to be flying up to watch rangers v Celtic with him next week in hospitality with his supplies, shoot me now, we even have to fly up the night before, as it starts at some stupid time in the morning to stop the locals getting d*unk and fighting
Can't wait
What a waste of ticket
Should buy your own shoes then and give the ticket to someone who'd appreciate it
Nearly agree, hubby has been teaching me the 'lingo' about the Huns and the feeions, fucking the pope/queen/both and up to my knees in blood, I'm looking forward to people watching
whatever floats your boat. I usually go the match to watch the footie. Funny old world " |

Will be great for te SPL as rangers are a huge club that have been a mainstay in Scottish football for years. Not a fan of the SPL but definitely a fan of seeing teams where they belong great effort by the club to get back there. |

The SPL is like most European top flight leagues in so far as it has at the moment one dominant side the promotion of Rangers will restore the old firm order. Having watched a few SPL games this year while working in the democratic of Ock aye the new anything that improves the standard beyond the English division one must be of benefit? |

I'm glad that the deep-seated, pseudo-religious bigotry that accompanies this footballing rivalry and has a proven record of spiking social unrest and domestic violence turns you and your husband on so much.
And casually bandying the terms hun, fenian, fuck the Pope or Queen is endemic of the ignorance that this fixture attracts.
Feel free to use any of that "lingo" though. Especially if you want to prolong your stay in Scotland a day or two longer.
At Her Majesty's pleasure. |

You missed my point completely, we will be there as observers watching this throwback to the 1970's / 80's are you saying I won't here any of these terms in 2016 ? |

And you've missed my point completely too. Whilst I can understand that people watch two vast groups of people who hate each other's sporting choice can be interesting, it is anything but when it comes to the psychology of this rivalry and the ignorance that it perpetrates.
There's no voyeuristic gains to be had from watching men, woman and children of all ages spout completely irrelevant bigoted terms at each other for a day which then become part of their fabric and prejudices. And this is before we even go in to the violence, public disorder and social unrest it causes.
And of course you will hear those chants, but there's nothing good about watching 50,000 people, the vast majority of whom will be agnostic, trade blows about ancient religious battles and divide. |

Well said. Liverpool FC has a supporters club from Belfast of mixed backgrounds (has done for years) they come over and enjoy the footie and the city and set an example to the next generation. |

....it will prove that you cant keep us down forever-we will always come fighting back.we were demoted due to 'off the field' activities and several of our 'so called' saviours were only interested in gaining as much money out of us as they could before trying scrap us and forcing us out of football forever.several promotions and a cup later proves we are back where we belong. |

"Promoted.. to the Scottish premier league.
And if you knew the translation why did you say it meant kill the enemy , were you being deliberately provocative ? No i wasnt. The translation is our day will come. the context of that IRA/ republican saying is kill the enemy. the enemy would be the british. I thought i clearly said that was its context, thats what it meant."
Always thought Rangers supporters were "British" not Scottish,
British always comes first, same as they voted NO in the ref simply due to football shite |

I'm English and I'd like to totally disassociate from the views held by the London couple. Let's get one thing straight though bigotry is perpetuated by morons those who indulge and those who watch. How utterly sad. Oh and by the way plenty of taxes come from Scotland so get your own house in order before making ridiculous unfounded pathetic sniping comments. |
