Nirvana day.

April 5th usually marks the day Kurt Cobain was found dead from an 'apparant' suicide. Seeing most people's music tastes on here very much include Alt rock, does anyone take the time out to dust off some old Nirvana records? Was it suicide or is there a deeper conspiracy?

Of course it was suicide, there is no reason why it wouldn't have been

He was found on April 8th, 1994, I know this because I got married that day! It was estimated that he had died on April 5th.

I still listen to my Nirvana albums from time to time. I did read a story about a psychic who said Kurt Cobain was murdered but it was made to look like a suicide, but the story doesn't seem very plausible really.

There are a lot of better bands around at anytime but not really talking about the two gigs you saw, no offence. They were a great band, to some. I still quite regularly and this week is no exception. Although I did mean Nirvana week not day. I noticed someone corrected me there.

Besides being pleasantly surprised by them coming on the radio, I haven't listened to, or made an effort to listen to Nirvana for years. Kurt was dead by the time I got really into them. I had all the albums, apart from a couple of the bootlegs. I even ended up with a nirvana tattoo

I'm on the train home from work and am just about to stick my earphones in and have a nostalgic listen. Cheers

It does make me feel a bit old when I see kids wearing Nirvana shirts or even Pearl Jam and Soundgarden.

That montage of heck movie isn't really worth watching, unless you really want to see that crack whore Courtney Love's tits.

I went on a date at Bradley's Spanish bar once. The guy tried to impress me and chose Nirvana on the jukebox, only he chose Endless, Nameless. No one enjoyed it.

London

Never saw them live (heard nothing but bad things) but seeing them on The Word (90s alt yoof TV) was a religious experience.

Suicide. Check the diaries. Wasn't a happy chappy.
