Recently bought a new vehicle and I've had to fill up with this AdBlue liquid.. Never heard of this until the warning light came on...
On speaking to a friend, he told me that he would never buy a car that needed this, as it was a cheat to get round the emissions...
So, anybody out there know if it's a good thing or a bad thing?? |

"It's a bad thing. A very bad thing indeed. It's the floppy cock in a gang bang queue of badness.
PMSL... Why though?"
Well, Jeremy, its just that its usual to fuck a lady with a hardon and if you ain't got one, when it gets to be your turn in the gangbang, the other guys will be smirking and whispering and pointing and you don't want to hear: "the vine needs watering - it's gone limp"...,.do ya? |

It is indeed made with pig pee (swine urea) I think it's about 40% pee if memory serves and for the truckers that don't already have it on the trucks, you will soon enough.
Some vehicles (trucks) went for a system that reburnss exhaust gases and some went for an additive that reduces the pollutants (add blue) the last time a new set envision rules came in.
But to get through the next lot, trucks will need both.
It has started being used in some diesel cars and will be in more and more. I had a Ford Galaxy (I think) a few weeks back that used it.
If you were not paying for AddBlue to put in the car you would be paying more than the AddBlue costs in increased road tax for having a higher emissions car.
(For those in the know, I apreciate that I have hugely simplified this discretion)
Add blue now |

I`ve known about it for some time and I think it`s getting more widespread I availability, especially with those places that have LGV facilities. It`s something that seems to be more of an larger vehicle thing although I`ve heard of some agricultural vehicles needing it too. I think it`s something that wouldn`t hurt to carry a few litres in the vehicle spare just in case you run low. |

Take it it's not like the blue I used to put in my red diesel? |

Adblu can have major hidden costs, Knox sensors faults and major problems with the pump if the system gets any dirt into it and the probable engine de-rate, engine management warning light comes on and all this requires a main dealer repair |

I have to use it in my lorry and yes, it is pigs pee and a pain in the arse too! When you fill up, make sure you don't spill any on the floor as it stains white. It will wash of ok so no long term damage. |

I didn't realise this made it to the UK...
The first time I ever heard of this additive was at BMW North America engineering facility in New Jersey about 4 years ago.
An additive they add into a seperate tank for diesel cars. It reduces the smog, soot and Nitrogenoxides or something like that.
Thought it was a US thing only. |

"I think my diesel Ds3 uses Adblue as I had to get the fluid refilled a while back. Means I pay zero road tax so I'm not complaining.1"
Citroen been using the diesel exhaust fluid for a while now on certain engines.Usually requires filling every 50k miles |

Adblue used in some lorry's since 2006. All garages that have a HGV pump will sell containers of the stuff. No need to keep spare in boot as you won't need to refil that often. Lorry's have a blue gauge to show level before a warning light shows its low I would imaging cars are the same try understanding your dash. |
