Possibly one of the best things about getting married is splashing out on the honeymoon!
We're tying the knot next April and wondered if anyone has any suggestions for a honeymoon?
We've looked at the Sandals resorts but are they really worth the money???? |

I've been to the Caribbean 6 times, never a sandals resort and always had a great time.
But must say always see a sandals boat sailing past the resort at least twice with loud booming music.
Always gone all Inc. Depends what you are after. Usually they are relaxing, just choose a resort on a nice island where facilities aren't too run down. |

As we had both been married we asked for donations instead of pressies if anyone wanted to give anything, six months after we got married we went to NY for 3 days then Niagara for two nights then went skiing for two and finished in boston for three days, was half covered by the donations as we just found cheap places to stay as we went along rather than get an travel agent to do it for us, found some great little places. |

We went to La Source on Grenada, which I think was similar to Sandals at the time.
We had to sell Mrs ddc's car to pay for it, and the whole wedding date had to be planned around the cheapest week (peak hurricane season, yeah right!).
We absolutely loved it. We were meant to go back for our 10th anniversary, but luckily we couldn't afford it - that very week the entire resort was completely destroyed in a hurricane
